Very pleased with this Five Guys location near Penn State University. This was definitely a five star because of several reasons. For one, the location is very well maintained and clean. The staff and service were excellent. It was the first time that I ever saw a staff member actually shape the toppings on the burger to fit the burger. Meaning if the bacon was too long, she snapped the bacon and layer the remaining piece on top. Great attention to detail on a burger! The drink machine was good, however one machine had no ice. There is plenty of room and spacious to dine in at a safe distance during COVID. The burger and fries completed the experience as both were made perfectly and fresh. Congrats for a great job 👏🏼! To be honest, I wasn't all that much impressed. For 3 burgers, 1 large fry, 2 milkshakes, & 2 sodas it was $58! The French fries were soggy and needed to be cooked longer, the burgers were juicy but very bland and the milkshakes were extremely thick to the point we couldn't drink them for awhile. As far as the staff goes, the younger blonde gentleman that had taken our order, he was very polite & quick and accurate with taking our order. The ONLY female that was that evening, she was a bit much and seemed that she needed to be the "Star of the Show" at all times and when I was speaking to the young blonde gentleman about where to hang up my son's drawing she stood behind the counter just glaring at me the entire time we were talking. All the other staff were quite friendly and quick with our order. We would possibly come back but it would be a once in a very very blue moon if we ever did. Food is awesome. The staff was so nice. However I’m taking one star for pricing. As someone who works in food I can guarantee they’re charging 5x minimum what it cost to make one burger. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The bathroom wasn't exactly clean, the mirror in the bathroom was really dirty as was the sink, the faucet also was dirty and loose. The soap dispenser looked disgusting and i really didn't want to touch it. The burger patty was the thinnest patty i have ever seen. Neither the burger nor the fries tasted good. There were no meal combos, had to order everything separately. Ended up spending 40$ for two people and the food just wasn't up to the hype. Was very disappointed. Maybe it's just this location and the others are better. Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50

They serve the kind of food you'd make at home on your own bbq grill. It's like they understand adults like me would make themselves a double burger to eat. They do offer single patty options if your appetite is smaller than mine. The fact that they don't charge for any toppings or sauce is pretty amazing. You can get the burgers in a bunless option wrapped in lettuce or assembled bunless in a bowl. The cajun seasoned fries are super tasty. They always give you a generous portion of the fries. They write on the dry erase board where the potatoes they are using that day came from, which I think is awesome. The milkshakes are super tasty, and there are many combinations you can make with them. Just like with the burgers, you can get any of the toppings added free. You can add them all for free.
