Had a visit here with a friend back in April 2020 when things were getting crazy with Covid. It's located on a strip mall/small shopping center area. The food was great then and even better now. Also, they've changed Decor a little; it's so Cute & Cozy inside. Little Bar area in there too. I've had their Carryout many times, which was good, but feel Dining In is the Best Experience with them. They stay busy with carryout orders, and ppl expect their food RIGHT away, but this is a smaller establishment with not a ton of staff, and since Covid + Inflation, honestly, a lot of places don't really have the amount of staff that's needed. Was just @ Fortune Cooky again helping a Friend celebrate their birthday on a Friday after 6 pm: It was So nice.✌️ Everything's Always Very Clean inside & directly outside the restaurant. We dined in and were quickly seated. Guy waiting tables is On Point without being Obtrusive & Annoying; is AWESOME, Professional, Efficient, Very Polite + Super Friendly & Helpful even as things got busier on a Friday evening. He greets you warmly upon you getting to your table AND again upon leaving. He really takes care of you; I saw him showing this level of Service with everybody. Restaurant was getting busy but not crowded, and not noisy at all. Families & Couples were dining in or picking up carryout/takeout orders. Food was DELICIOUS! Please try their Lettuce Wraps, Wontons, Eggrolls, Lo Mein, Steak/Beef, and any of their entrees with rice, lunch specials, etc.! Fortune Cooky has some of THE BEST Chinese & Thai around. Prices I feel are very reasonable given the times. Especially when it's Quality.Their food reminds me of the Old Skool Chinese I had growing up. Everything came to our table Hot, Fresh, and Yummy. Seasoned just right. No long waits for anything. Great Flavor. From our Appetizers to the Entrees NOTHING disappointed. Generous Portions and enough meat, sauce, veg in all our dishes. Highly Recommend and seriously I've had enough Bad Chinese over the years to know GOOD Chinese when I taste it. Do NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!!! THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD AND SHOW THAT IT'S BEEN DELIVERED BEFORE YOU'VE RECEIVED IT. THE MANAGER WOULD NOT TAKE OUR CALL AND THE PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONE REFUSED TO TELL HER THAT WE HAD A PROBLEM!!!! INSTEAD OF CALLING US BACK AS PROMISED (TWICE) THEY FINALLY SENT THE DRIVER OUT. They're food is good but the people don't care once they have your $$$.. Surprisingly, the food showed up within about 5 minutes of raising hell on the phone!! 20 minutes AFTER OUR ORDER SHOWED DELIVERED!!! By the way, we live within walking distance but we had a very long day at work, it was our anniversary and so we decided to opt for delivery instead of picking it up. NEVER AGAIN!!! Look at the shrimp and broccoli picture I posted. It's a little disappointing. If you order from here, go pick it up. Like I said before, THE FOOD IS GOOD, but the customer service is non-existent. We used to order from them often, but our past few experiences have lacked in quality. Ordered delivery yesterday and called after an hour to check on the order. Was told there was no record of my order. Called in again and found they blocked my number because my call couldn't go through unless I used a different line. Believing my food to be lost, I was surprised when it showed up a little over 2 hours after the original order time. Never got a call to confirm they found the order or any apologies for the confusion. The food is good but the poor quality of their customer service is so disappointing. Amazing place!!! Loved everything we had. Definitely my new favorite place to get Chinese food and sushi! Saw they had Thai food and Japanese food on the menu but we just had Chinese and a sushi roll. It was all perfect. Love the order screen when you go in. They have a digital screen where you can see pictures and prices of everything you order and can pay right there. EDITED TO SAY THAT AFTER SEEING MULTIPLE REVIEWS WITH THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS IS, SAVE YOUR FRUSTRATION AND ORDER ELSEWHERE! We have been ordering takeout from here a couple times a month for 10 years. Last night was the LAST time we will be ordering. I placed the order at 6:33pm(Delivery). The App said 45 mins. One hour later I gave them a call to check on the status of my order. The App showed “Order Completed.” So I frantically called thinking they delivered to the wrong address. The girl on the phone told me to leave my line open and someone will call me back! 5 minutes later a man calls me to inform me that my food was on the way. What was supposed to take 45 mins, took 90. Hoping that the food quality would make up for the lack of timeliness, we were immediately disappointed when we opened our containers. The sushi was inedible. The rice was crunchy and stale tasting. The sashimi all had a horrible smell. The shrimp tempura roll taste like they pulled the tempura straight from the freezer and rolled it into a roll. It was so disgusting! The chicken teriyaki ($15.95) was worse than a Lean Cuisine frozen meal. Super bland and the chicken was dry. We have been regular customers for about 2 years now. That will be changing. The place is under new ownership!!! He jacked up the prices almost 35%. Drinks were $6.25 now are $9.50. He needs to have a happy hour like other restaurants do. We would come here because the food was a decent price and the drinks were cheap. I would understand raising the prices some but not 35% that’s un heard of!! It’s greed and he is going to lose A LOT of customers that way. We will be taking our money to restaurants that have happy hour. I do have to say the waiter here is very nice and we love seeing him when we come in. We will miss seeing him.

It took almost 2 hours for me to receive my food. I called after not receiving it for an hour, I was told they couldn’t see my order that only the manger had access to see it and she would call me when she was done with her phone call. After 20min of not calling me back I called again and they again said only the manager can see my order and that she was still on the phone, at this moment I was upset and said they slay had told me and my order was now 1hr 20min late. I was told again the manager would call me. My order arrived 1hr 50min late and the manager never called me. Will not order here again. This happened in the past my food being 1hr late and decided to give them 1 more try. Food was cold, save your time on delivery I had even tipped. Order somewhere else. Good food and good value for how much you can get, but customer service is terrible. Be prepared to wait multiple hours questioning if they forgot about you if you order delivery. Even pickup can take a long time, wait at least an hour before you head over to get it. Questioning if it’s worth sticking with this place. The food really IS great though.
