Visited today for first time, chicken burgers where amazing. The topping on the loaded fries was generous. And chips where good Only thing that could improve on was the fish. Ordered the $15 mixed grill option, comes with one fish, sausage, meat patty, 3 onion rings, chips and a can of drink. It's pretty good value and was very tasty. My partner ordered the $12 fish and chips meal which came with an egg, two fish and chips and she was stoked with her meal. The only downside is my fish was more batter than fish but my partner's were decent portions so she swapped with me 😂 Everything was good would love some different seasoning and sauce options though. I ordered the fish,egg and chips meal. Egg wasn't there but another peice of fish and the smallest portion of chips for $12. My partner got the mixed grill which included two peices of onion rings that was really dry (almost burnt) and the batter on the meat pattie wasn't cooked on the inside, still had the doughy consistancy. Wasn't worth the $17. Service is quick and friendly but can really only say the fish was good. Everything else was average and not worth the price. Nothing short of terrible! Overcharged by $11. Fish burger beyond soggy, same can be said for the kumara chips. 1/2 scoop of chips = a handful of chips at best and the beef burger was burnt to a crisp. First time been to this shop..Very pleasant young man.Excellent service and lovely fish,,only thing wrong was I should have got an extra fish as it was so nice. Long time since we went for a drive to Methven..must make it more regular. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
