Very nice server, good food but HUGE portions! We went for happy hour and got 2 for 1 drinks. My house margarita was decent but I would've liked more salt on the rim. I got the veracrusanas which are 4 enchiladas in diablo sauce. Very spicy and I LOVED it. I just couldn't finish it because of how huge it was! My friends also liked their food but couldn't even finish half. The hot salsa with the chips was very good. Ambience was spacious, clean and very inviting. Highly recommend! We tried to dine at Garlic & Onions on a Friday night and couldn't find parking. We tried again on a Wednesday night and had a wonderful experience. We noticed a smokey, almost burnt taste, and realized it was the roasted chilies which was different from any other Mexican restaurant in town. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Garlic and Onions was recommended to us by someone that was doing some work for us. We just moved here and thought we would try it for date night. We drove over (about 20 minutes from our home) and the parking lot was packed. I thought, oh good, it’s popular, it must be good! I drove around the block waiting for a spot to open up, and it did. We went inside around 7:40pm. There was no hostess, but one appeared within a few minutes. Said it was a 10 minute wait. No problem, we sat and waited. It was very loud in the dinning rooms. Not sure if it was the crowd last night, or if it’s more to do with the way sound carries in this building. We were sat fairly quickly, but then had no service. A waitress that appeared to not be ours stopped by the table and asked if we had been helped yet and we replied no. She said she would check on things for us. She then came back a couple minutes later and said she was going to take care of us and apologized. She seemed nice, but service was still fairly slow. We got our drinks and ordered our meals (beef enchiladas and chicken and steak fajitas). We received chips and salsa (I believe as an apology because I think you have to order/pay for it here). The chips and salsa were good. Salsa was spicy and had great flavor. My food came, but my wife’s fajitas didn’t come out for about 5 minutes still. I felt like I should wait for my wife’s food to begin eating. Her fajitas came out sizzling hot, but the steak and chicken were over cooked, dry, and didn’t have much flavor. My beef enchiladas were also bland, although the hot green chili was good. The rice and beans were also good. We anticipated having fried ice cream for dessert, but because we waited so long for everything, it was closing time by the time we finished our meals. The worst part of our experience came on our drive home. We both got sick with stomach cramps and diarrhea and couldn’t get off the toilet. I suspect it was the salsa or the rice because those are the items we had in common, other than our Coke beverages. I wanted to email the restaurant to let them know, as I suspect others probably got sick too and they might contact the restaurant. I’ll report this to the health department as well. We went through the drive through and the worker was very rude. I mean to the point of sighing and rolling her eyes. To make matters worse I found plastic in my breakfast burrito. I had never been here before, so my niece wanted me to try it. I was very pleased she took me here. There are tons of Mexican restaurants in Pueblo that I've been to that disappointed me, but not this place. We all ordered something different so we could try the different dishes. Listen to the waitresses concerning the hot sauces! Everything was great and the waitress was excellent! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We really enjoyed our experience here. The food was top notch. A warning, the salsa has quite a bit of a kick. The wait staff was excellent and extremely attentive which is rare to find post Covid. Terrible customer service. The waitress never put in part of our order and instead of acknowledging it she avoided us after. When the rest of the order was ready she brought it out and said sorry but we were already highly disappointed with the service. The food we did get was decent but won’t be back. They were busy but nothing too crazy for a restaurant with that much seating. Some of the food that came out was cold as well. Couldn’t find a manager to complain to either. Service was horrible 1st the hostess looked unhappy sitting there looking at the ground not one smile from her then after waiting 30 minutes I nicely told her there was 5 tables open that I could see and her reply was ughhh n looked back at the ground then another 20 minutes went but and she sat us and other parties at the exact tables I told her we're open then the food took forever to come and waitress didn't check if we needed refills on drinks or salsa which we did I finally got someone's attention then the food finally came and my order was wrong the waitress took my plate and whispers to another waitress and brings out food out the taco shells (white) are hard and stale and food not so good with all that me and my husband remaining calm empties out tacos eat some of the inside pay our full bill and tip then leave afterwards I posted on my time line about our experience and the owner shared my post with negative feedback and the results from his post which I couldn't comment on had his friends calling me names and one even told him (let me know who I need to slap around) very unprofessional and result of horrible training and hiring and ownership I do not recommend this establishment my post was full of comments who had similar experiences there and also felt his post was unprofessional and unacceptable. Wow I was very pleasantly surprised this morning. I have not been here in quite some time, because you either get good food or good service, but never both. Despite a sign "no staff, please be kind" we got very good service (Thanks, Jasmine!) and the fajitas were pretty amazing. There were 5 of us, and we all enjoyed ourselves very much.
