I stopped in here tonight and picked up a couple of pizzas. One was a specialty prosciutto pizza and the other one was just cheese/mozzarella. It’s wood fired pizza, so I just get charred, that is normal and expected. Pizza was good. also had some of the wood fired chicken wings. Those were Pretty good too. I will be eating here again!!! The arugula salad was delicious and the eggplant caprese appetizer was delicious!!! The pictures are their rice balls, extra sausage pizza , the notorious p.i.e, and peanut butter tiramisu. All delicious and fresh ingredients. Driving back to Tennessee from Salem MA, I was stuck in traffic from an accident near NY. Stopped at a gas/Dunkin/Subway with no workers to be found. Not impressed & kept seeing sour faced people & felt like it would be a good idea if the whole East Coast fell off the face of the earth. Hangry! Did a search& GG's Wood Fired Pizza was very near so I stopped in. My lucky day! Hostess was warm & welcoming & my server Samantha was amazing & read my mind more than once. Worth her weight in platinum! Food was to die for delicious. If I lived in the area- I would be a weekly regular. Highly recommend. Go out of your way for this food & service. Don't waste your money! People told me how good this place was so I had to try it! I ordered a large pie to go ....29$ pizza with no flavor! Pie had bunt black crust half the pie was in edible! The dough was not even cooked all the way. One of the worst pies I've had in Connecticut! GGs pizza is great! Classic New Haven style but the Belle salad is a winner as well. We entered the restaurant. One or two tables had customers. We were told to seat ourselves. We did. The woman who we would later learn was our waitress came by after about ten minutes and dropped two menus on the table. She returned and took our order. After a few minutes she brought part of our order and took a seat in the next booth. When I realized that she wasn't bringing the rest she went into the kitchen and returned with our food. That was the last we saw of her. No one came by to see if a) we would like more drinks (we would have) b) if everything was ok (the food was fine, service meh) c) or if we wanted anything else. After some time (like half an hour) passed with no contact we flagged down another server and asked if she could find our waitress and give us our check. The server (not our missing waitress) came by and dropped off the check. She then disappeared as well. When we realized that no one was going to take our money at the table we went to the front. I was super stoked to eat here finally after hearing about the home made pasta. Food was amazing… unfortunately, service was the worst I’ve ever received in my life. Blonde young girl clearly didn’t want to be there or maybe just didn’t want to wait on us. From the beginning of our time of service, she was unpleasant and completely disinterested. I’ve been in the industry a long time, steps of service is something that wasn’t clearly taught. I had to ask her for another drink, after I saw she wasn’t coming to check up on how our food was when the appetizers came out. She didn’t bother to remove the dirty plates before the entrees hit the table. Didn’t care to ask us how our entrees were. She sent over another waitress to give us boxes. They didn’t ask if we were interested in dessert… I had to ask for a dessert menu. We ordered 2 desserts, all good until I found a hair in the cannoli cream. I get it, it happens; I didn’t even mention it, just put it aside. My partner was still eating as I was enjoying my cappuccino… the blonde puts the check on the table, doesn’t ask how everything was, nor if we needed or wanted anything else, just puts the check down and walks away without a peep. Comes back 3 minutes later to glance at the table to see if the check had a form of payment on it, nope it didn’t. She walks away, turns around to check again to which I finally said something, asked for the manager. It wasn’t even as though we came right before closing time… it was around 7:30pm, not busy at all. Cindy was sweet as pie and offered to make it right, nothing she could have done would have made the night right. I advised her that she needs to work on her staff and their steps of service. Are you kidding I'm now obsessed with this place. First of all, the service is incredible. Everyone is so warm and welcoming from the second you walk in. It's very busy! But we walked in the front door and even the other customers were friendly. Julie was our server- truly a treasure! She recommended our drinks and food order and really impressed us. The FOOD!!! SO GOOD try it all, you can't go wrong. This is the type of place to go every week. Come hungry and don't skip dessert! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wow! Every bite was as delicious as the last. I only ordered a small meatball pizza with red sauce, but it was perfect! The meatballs, sauce, and cheese were plentiful and full of flavor.
