New owners? To go and pick up only service. I used to love the food here. I’ve been stopping at the Golden Dragon for years when I am in Florence, SC. I think they just recently changed management. Right around the time when I think the change happened the food started tasting weird. As of my order today, it was exactly how I like it again . I hope they maintain the consistency by listening to or reading their reviews. I always get the pork egg foo young. My guy likes the pork fried rice with chicken wings. They only give a little gravy For the egg foo young. Does not cover the eggs. Everything has always tasted as if cooked fresh. The food usually tastes good. The locals used to love this place. It stays packed. People are always calling in and waiting in the parking lot whenever I’m around. No outdoor seating no accessible ramp or seating. Not kid friendly As of October 2023 I think they may be changing from to go only to sitting and having table service inside again. I say this because they have changed the seating area and we can walk in again but I’m not sure. #ttip: Call your order in and it will be ready when you get there. This saves me lots of time. Has been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time. I hope they stay the same. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

We ordered chicken & broccoli, shrimp lo mei, steamed pork dumplings, and vegetables spring roll, and took back to hotel to eat, we finished them very quickly because they tasted so yummy, my kid always loves shrimp lo mei, he likes small shrimps which are easily to chew, spring rolls are so chrisp that we finished them immediately after back and forgot to take pictures on it, chicken and broccoli tastes so great that we highly recommend if you have light flavor taste, chicken tastes very tender, broccoli tastes fresh, steamed pork dumplings are ok which we actually prefer thin wrap. The dinning area is clean and tidy, The counter staff chased out to give us the spring rolls we forgot to take when we almost drove away. Thank you! Don't know what happened, maybe new owners, taste has changed, been a customer since Dan And Fan had the restaurant, earned the "Best of the Pee Dee" several years in a row, then changed hands and they tried to cut corners and quickly changed back to the original suppliers and recipies. Ordered tonight and was a little more than disappointed, the portions were good but, the taste or quality of ingredients were lacking. The S/S chicken and egg rolls had a fishey taste. Was always here weekly under the previous cook. The food has really gone down and they need to be mindful and change course. Egg rolls are chewy and not crispy, crab rangoon filling was disgusting, with no cream cheese. Like, how hard is it to Google a crab rangoon recipe? We recently went there for the first time in a while. It looked liked the portion size has really decreased for the main dish. The food was OK. Egg rolls and chicken wings are yummy.

Best part was the smell on the way home. Ordered teriyaki chicken, sesame chicken, fried wontons, garlic shrimp and shrimp lo main. Shrimp low main had 10 very small 70-80 count shrimp in it, noodles were dry and no vegetables. Sesame chicken tasted good but was lacking any sesame seeds on it( literally ) not a single seed. Garlic shrimp was super thick and very little shrimp or non, couldnt tell when I got to it which was half gone I didnt find any. The fried rice which I opted for the ham type to save money. Had a grey color maybe a shred of egg no peas or any other vegetable or onions. It was also obvious the were using a precooked salted ham the smell was of a christmas ham. The sweet and sour sauce had definitely just been sitting on the shelf because when I got it home and opened it it had the consistency of Elmer's glue out the bottle. Over all the lack of any parts of the dish you would expect to actually be present and use of jarred sauces thrown on top of the cooked meat. I'm happy so far as I finish the meal I havent had to go to the bathroom yet. Its food and that's it. this is chinese knockoff quality with a lazy approach of cooking it. Disappointed!!

Not from Florence there on a conference convention ordered the combination plate no combination plate plain white rice just very disgusted should have checked my food before I left

Great service and delicious food! Had the moo goo gai pan chicken combo with white rice and two chicken wings. It was all delicious!!!

Do not come here because the new owner argued with me about missing food from my order & then walked off before I could even respond. As if I have to lie about some chicken wings. This food is nasty now anyway. As a civil rights attorney, I am sure she will be out of business soon due to her disrespect of African American customers.
