This restaurant pleasantly surprised me, and I have no complaints. We had deer tartare, garlic soup, deer steak with mashed potatoes and truffles, and it was perfect – the flavors, preparation, and the cherry on top was the chestnut dessert. Gostilna Francl is a restaurant where they serve traditional slovenian food, but served in a little bit not modern, let’s say renewed way. The interns are warm and cozy, all the plates were good, the service ok, maybe a little bit too much with non stop pooring the wine even if we didn’t ask (we left the wine in the glasses, because we couldn’t drink it all). This was one of the best dinner experiences I ever had. The ambience is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food, wines and service. The food was beautifully presented, and the taste was absolutely delicious. Staff was really friendly and I would recommend this restaurant any day!
