Nice selection of barbecued meats. We tried a variety of their options in a three meat, three side combo. I especially liked the brisket and smoked chicken. Some of the items have a strong southern flavoring while others seem to lack a bit of flavoring. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The prices are what I would consider to be a bit expensive but reasonable for a cuisine unique to this area. The place offers variety of BBQ meat options. I tried ribs and Chicken. Ribs were bit dry. Chicken leg quarters were tasty and juicy. However, chicken breast was missing that tenderness. The sides, coleslaw, mac and cheese and Gorgonzola pasta were tasty. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I've known Lloyd and Loretta for years and followed their restaurants from Arco to both locations in Idaho Falls. They introduced me to real, authentic, southern hospitality (thank you Loretta), food, delicious BBQ, family, ribs, brisket, two kinds of coleslaw. They reintroduced me to beans and corn bread!! The way it all should be done, Lloyd doesn't know this, but he is responsible for me becoming a great BBQ cook myself by totally inspiring me with his recipes... and I wish I could say what their friendship means on here (thank you Nick and Tish), but for the purposes of this review, you're not just getting a meal, you're getting a families love and life work when you come here. Thank you to Grandpa's BBQ for a wonderful lunch. The beans with corned beef and herbed mashed potatoes were a great mix. The buttermilk pie was a great finish to the meal. Amazing Barbecue. Have had the brisket and corned beef, I can’t tell you which ones better because they’re both great. Fantastic service. 5 Stars, Well hello flavor..... WOW, excellent bbq, where to even start, the ribs were as perfect as you could ever get them. Good bite, clean bone but yet tender, and the smoke flavor for days was so tasty, it was so good no sauce is needed, just eat then nacked. The brisket was so juicy, flavorful, delicious, perfectly moist, and tender, wow, wow, wow.... And the smoked quarter chicken was in my opinion the best I think I have ever had ever.... I know my memory is fading with age but this was fanominal. The sides were excellent as well, collard greens, baked beans, mac and cheese, all great. I only wished one thing was different, that I had more room to try it all, had to take home some pecan pie, omg this was freaking delicious, I beat they could cook anything and it would be a Heavenly tasty dish. The food was amazing and fresh, the service was amazing with such a kind server, the atmosphere was awesome and the sweet tea to die for.
