Come here for a drink after a long walk around Orpheum Children's Science Museum. Most guests recommend trying nicely cooked cobb salads, beef and fried eggplants. When visiting this bar, it's a must to try delicious draft beer, craft beer or wine. According to the visitors' opinions, waiters offer good milkshakes. The food was mediocre and my bun was hard. The most flavorful part of our meal was the appetizer and we just got the garlic cheese curds. There were plenty of flies around to finish what I didn't eat (we were indoors). The service was poor. Our waiter was very quick with us almost as if we were bothering him by being there. I like to assume he just wasn't having a good day, but his attitude made us uncomfortable. My boyfriend still left a decent tip, so maybe he could use it to buy himself a smile. The prices were also rediculous. The only thing they really had going for them was the music. Not the food, not the service, and definitely not the prices. We won't be back for any reason. The food is just okay. My partner and I felt like our burgers were flavorless. I liked my onion rings but felt like they were lacking salt. The drinks are tasty but pricy. I really enjoy the boozy shakes. I recommend the chocolate-covered strawberry one. However, they're pretty expensive (roughly $13/person). For two burgers and two shakes, I spent roughly $70. The food isn't bad but it's not the main attraction. Guido's is on a great corner of downtown for people watching. It has all the charm of the downtown Champaign area. Day or night. It's our first time at Guido's today. Great sports bar environment. Great service. Food was high quality and delicious. Only issues: a group of people was being very loud at times. I ordered a burger and didn't get utensils. I had to order my drink 3 times because I kept getting a flavorless Pepsi. The waitress was very nice about it tough. L&J

We stopped here December 12th as we passed through on our way to O'Hare International. Casual, chill place. Good food. We waited longer for someone to take our order than we did for our food to come out. It was hot. It was delicious. It was satisfying. We weren't rushed but we were checked on. I had a black bean burger with pepperjack cheese added, a side of fries, and the boozey chocolate cake shake. The boyfriend had the chocolate covered strawberry boozey shake, an Italian sandwich sans peppercinis, and a side of fries. P.S., I love that the fries weren't salty so we could season to our liking. Serra Champaign Automotive group had our Christmas party last night at Guido's and it was great! It was our second year at Guido's. We had almost 150 people and the food was outstanding as was the atmosphere in the private basement area. It was extremely reasonable too. The staff gave us great service and amazingly there was never a wait at the bar. I highly recommend Guido's for a group event. No turkey or wings, which are two key items to the menu. The hot ham was just what it was for $8-$9. I would understand if it was a crazy time but it was made clear by staff that this is the slowest week of the year. Really rough first time here. Hope yours is better. We went here before an Illinois basketball game. Students were not on campus, so it was mostly adults and families. We all had really good sandwiches and the food came out fast. We would go back.
