A place that brings back many memories of years pased. I did not think there were any more H Salt stores still operating. I had the fish it was very crunchy and good, the tartar sauce was delicious...... you have to stop by. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Passed by this spot and decided to stop as I ate H Salt Fish & Chips when I was younger. It's a little bit of a sketchy neighborhood, but I could just taste the batter. As I walked in, it was small. Now that being said, I felt nostalgia as my eyes immediately noticed the Pac Man/Galaga and Donkey Kong arcade games. The smell of the fish battery was mouth watering. I ordered the fish n chips and went on my merry way to play Pac Man. The food was great and the staff was friendly. I've been eating H Salt Fish & Chips from way back in my high school days. It's still one of my all time favorite meals I can find even today, 40+ years later. Every location is still basically 70's type decorated and the recipe, to my knowledge has not changed a bit. This location (San Bernardino) the staff very nice and friend (family owned). Small location and dining room still out dated. The food, in my eyes the best. I do have to admit, a little greasy but still worth it. I feel it's one of those things, you either like it or not. This place has some bomb fish and shrimps! The batter is so crunchy and they give you a decent serving! Prices are not bad at all. I feel like I stepped back into time … it’s clean and old school! And they even have Air Conditioning, not a swamp cooler but actual AC! We’ll be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My Mom used to take us to H. Salt in Huntington Beach when we were kids 50 years ago. I have so missed that taste. Over the years, I have tried a lot of fish and chips from nice restaurants to other chains and nothing has compared. This location doesn't disappoint, the food is great! Mike couldn't have treated us better, or prepared my food more perfectly! I've loved H Salt since I ate there almost 2 decades ago. Somehow it's gotten even better! You know when your food is so good you must have it immediately, even though every bite is scalding you? Yeah, it's seriously THAT good. If you're in the IE and haven't eaten there yet, or you just haven't been back in a while... then you really need to pop back in! It's the same ol' H Salt, but somehow it feels brand new again. I have no idea how they topped perfection, but tonight they definitely did! Thanks Mike, for the great service and the best fish n chips I've had since I don't know when! Update, visted again and the food was excellent and so was the service 👍👍👍 Finally a well run H Salt, the fish was fresh and perfectly fried. The tartar sauce and coleslaw were very tasty. The crew was experienced and a well tuned operation. I highly recommend this H Salt. It's worth the drive.
