We bought a Gourmet apple pie. It was still warm when I got it home. Everyone loved it. Piled high with apples and a delicious crust. We are used to a more buttery flavor than this shortening crust. But the whole family agreed we found our new favorite bakery.
We also tried a few items from the markdown table. And all the treats were delicious.
Just wanted to say Thank You to Halfmann's for a beautiful and delicious cake. I ordered a cake for a small family gathering to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. The cake was perfect for the occasion! Beautifully decorated and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from Halfmann's the next time I need a special cake.

Cake was done in a rush. Buttercream was not spread out correctly and very lumpy. Had a horrible stench which is extremely odd. We did not get what we asked for at all. Save you money and go somewhere else

Loved how this place was years ago, but things change. Man at counter taking our order was rude and rude to the other employees. I tried to lighten up the situation for the sake of my kids being around but he was not wanting to respond or really communicate with us in anyway. Always loved the cakes and sweets here but this was a real turn off. I hope our cake comes out better then the customer service and how employees are treated.
Absolutly Loved the quality of the cake we ordered! I thought it would inconvienance them to change the design a few days before our party, but they completly made exactly what we wanted and it was delicious! Most definetly recommend and will be ordering more cakes in the future!
We have been doing business with them for years. So disappointing that their staff is so rude, it used to just be an older lady, but I called this am inquiring about a cake and it seems to have spread among the others. Such a shame, because their product is excellent
Completely disappointed! I ordered a cake for a going away gathering at work, I ordered a white cake with strawberry buttercream icing. Got a call this morning at 8:55 am telling me there were issues with some lost orders. I was supposed to pick up at 10 am. The agreed time was changed to 11:30. The cake wasn’t ready until after 1 pm. It was a white cake with a jelly filling no decorations and the writing was so small. Unbelievable
So RUDE! I have ordered plenty cakes, cupcakes and cookies from here for years. Sometimes short notice and other times, there has been plenty notice. Never had a problem. I call to order a birthday cake and was told it would take 2 weeks to make it. Without even asking any questions. So I say "ok. Do you know what I can get by Saturday?" And the lady says "hold on" in a horrible tone, slams the phone down and I hear a nasty little chuckle. I hung up right away. I probably won't be ordering from them again.
My now wife and I decided to go with Halfmann's Cake Cottage to provide a small wedding cake (for the bridal party) and cupcakes (for everyone) for our wedding. Being a designer, she came up with a really neat design for the cake, a small two-tier, with blue and white frosting in swirls and gradients with sugar pearls, and the cupcakes were designed to match. They faithfully recreated this design, and not only that, everything was quite delicious. We went with lemon, strawberry, and chocolate cupcakes for the guests, and they were an enormous hit. Thanks to Halfmann's for making our special day a bit more special, and we'll definitely be doing more business with them in the future!
