After you have seen Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, visit this bar. Cooks at Hill & Vine do their best to provide guests with good shrimp salads, nacho chips and redfish. Hill & Vine is an absolute delight from start to finish! The staff exudes warmth and friendliness, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. And let's talk about the interior design – it's simply awesome, adding to the overall cheerful atmosphere of the place. Now, onto the food – wow! I tried the blackened fish tacos and they were absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor in every bite. My wife opted for the open-faced egg avocado toast, and she couldn't stop raving about how it was to die for. From the ambiance to the dishes, Hill & Vine hits all the right notes. Arrived with a group of 11. We were informed they only offer a limited menu of which $45/person was the minimum. We decided to split the group. Mimosas were offered but price was not listed or given. They offer several flavors! I was excited to try them but unfortunately it was undetectable in the taste. Overall food looked delicious, started off delicious with the chilaquiles. Towards the bottom of the plate the salsa was extremely watery. To begin, the chilaquiles was definitely delicious. The burger to bun ratio was off. Small patty. Fries were delicious. I had heard great things about this restaurant and I can understand the hype now! We were seated promptly and our drinks came out fast. Our waiter also came and checked on us multiple times! We ordered our apps and entrees at the same time and both came out within 5 minutes. The food was to die for! We got the watermelon salad as well as the pesto pasta and they were amazing. The biscuits and cornbread are a MUST and the Texas sheet cake was delicious. My boyfriend got the smores espresso tini and we both thought it was great! It is sweet so if you don’t like sweet drinks don’t get this. All in all a great place and can’t wait to come back next time! This is a must do for a Fredericksburg trip! One of the best dining experiences in recent years. The food was all incredibly fresh and delicious. The ingredients were all great quality. The service was impeccable. We are in the outside dining area and it was so lovely and charming. Will make it a point to come back very soon!! My friends and I did a night in Fredericksburg and had brunch here before we headed back to Austin. They were very busy but we only waited about 20 minutes. The cornbread basket was phenomenal, looked incrediboy homemade but tasted awesome. The cocktail were good- nothing special and a bit pricey. My friend had the chilaquiles and loved them so much! The chicken Benedict was just okay. The chicken was really crispy but plain and needed salt. The pesto was really confusing and the dish ended up a bit bland and just okay. My husband & I LOVED our early supper @ Hill & Vine in Fredericksburg, Texas. The setting was crisp, clean , artsy & well designed. The food was fabulous. FRESH . I had grilled fish tacos & he had a Waygu beef burger . The meal was nicely finished with a serving of flakey peach hand pies with ClearRiver butter pecan ice cream & a cup of coffee. Layne was our watress. This was her first day & she was personable & didn't miss a beat with service !! We definitely want to return to try other items on their menu. Wonderful restaurant just about two blocks off Main Street. Normal fare (gluten free options available) and savory desserts. Pictured is their individual Texas Sheet cake with Clear River vanilla ice cream. They do not take reservations so you might have to wait for a table but it is well worth it. Also, there is seating inside and out as well as a large community table. We walked but if you drive, please note that there is an entrance and a separate exit to the parking lot. Such incredible food that comes out of the kitchen quickly. The fried chicken sandwich was to die for as it was golden and crispy. They also had an incredible Caesar salad that could be split amongst a few others. The Texas cheeseburger was so flavorful and juicy. Would also like to recommend the chicken schnitzel with an egg on top. This restaurant really boasts incredible flavor and delivers each time with level of consistency. Went today and food and service was excellent. We ordered blacked eye pea hummus and biscuits and cornbread apps and both were pleasantly delicious. For my meal ordered blta sandwhich which was a huge portion and had mint and gin with blueberry drink 🍸 😋. The sangria was also very good. They are super strict about sitting you until EVERYONE in your party is there and no reservations. Have a nice indoor and outdoor sitting area.
