Loved the vibe here! Stopped in for a drink in the way to something else but definitely plan to go back and try some of the food. Everything we saw (and smelled) looked amazing! The chalk art was super fun and eye catching too. We sat at the bar with Charlie who was great to chat with. We’ll be back! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love this restaurant and meat selections at decent prices. It's right next to the ski resort and easy to find. We arrived around 6 pm on Sunday, and it's not crowded. The rabbit white wine sausage was unique and really delicious. The pork shank was soft and tender. We were so curious and hesitating to order a lot different kinds of sausages, but the waiter suggested not to orfer too much. 😆 we'll definitely come back next time! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

For quite some time I've heard that I need to try Himmel Haus. I'm happy to have finally made it for their Oktoberfest festivities. The event was a prix fixe menu with beer pairings and in brief, delicious. The dining room is cozy and decorated as a festive German beer hall. And the server were not only dressed thematically but delightfully friendly with regular check ins throughout the evening. The cured meat and cheese starter was great especially that blackberry jam. I partook in the venison wurst and potato salad which was excellent and complimented well with the varietys of mustard provided. The main course was a rouladen with an awesome hollandaise sauce on the side. This isn't the simplest of dishes but was solidly delicious despite not being a regular menu item (for now hopefully!!!) Finally for dessert I had the salted caramel pretzel bread pudding. It's a mouthful to say but was quite good. Though the bit of Apple Strudel I swiped from my wife might have edged it out. The night was wonderful and I'm excited for a return trip to down some traditional beer drinks and a big ole pretzel! The best German restaurant I've ever had. Highly recommend the Schweinshaxe and sausage platter! THEY ARE THE BEST! It costs two people around $80 in total for lunch. Will definitely come back! Fabulous! Did not expect to find a high quality German restaurant in Tahoe! The food was served fast, fresh and full of flavor. We tried both wild game options for the sausage (rabbit and lamb) and both were really good. Our server was very helpful and gave good explanations of each of the dishes. Save room for dessert!
