Such a lovely cafe. You can taste and feel that the coffee and food is made here with much love. An absolute must go place for a delicious breakfast, coffee or cake. A must stop if you’re passing through! A small friendly cafe run by a lovely couple who offer service with the biggest smile. Great value food with cakes, toasties for $7 and lunch for $12-15. We felt like we’d been welcomed home as Owen and Pina chatted away to us and the other customers. Can’t wait to come back when we’re passing again Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Breakfast here was an excellent decision. A simple selection of delicious home cooked meals but the friendly welcome is also a reason in itself to come by. The most adorable cafe ever!!!! The owners Owen and Pina are friendly, warm and make everything fun. The coffee and cake are to die for and the decor is so welcoming! This was one of our favourite experiences in NZ. The couple who own this restaurant were very welcoming and it really felt like we were visiting family. They took very good care of us and the food was fantastic and very well priced. My daughter really enjoyed their fairy bread with sprinkles. Definitely a must to visit while in Hokitika. It was a grey and rainy Sunday morning when we were passing by Hokitika. But walking into Owen and Pina's cafe was like being welcomed by a burst of sunshine and rainbows. 🌈 ☀️ They made my parents feel so welcome that dad actually asked Owen for a job 😅 Only regret is that we didn't get to try the pasta which looked amazing. This place is as good as you will get. There is a fabulous atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The couple running the place are amazing. I love their cleanliness and attention to detail. Their sense of humor is beautiful. The herb garden outside, proves how fresh every thing is. I hope "Basil" is enjoying his haircuts. We will definitely be back. Perfect stop on our way from Franz Josef to Greymouth to catch the train. The cake, ham and cheese croissant, the toastie, and the coffee was all great! A super lovely couple run this place! I had a coffee and cake, which was priced very well, and really lovely! They also made my mom a frittata on request, which was super yummy! Would visit again just for how kind and lovely the couple is! They don’t have a ton of food ready-made, but they do their menu on request and it changes throughout the day which is so fun! Thank you!
