My husband and I went here last week and we were pleasantly surprised! The interior has an awesome vibe, with a ton of submarine decor. Everywhere you look is another interesting piece of memorabilia. We ordered the herb cheese dip, the onion ring burger, and the XXX burger. The dip was a bit unusual, but pretty good. It said it is served with pita but ours came with a very crunchy French bread. Would not order it again; it was $14 and not really worth it at that price point. The burgers though were delicious! Everything tasted fresh. Happy Hour is from 11-5 and $2.50 for a decent size draft pour of craft beer is really great value. The bill was a bit of a surprise however, I think the food is a bit overpriced. Despite that, the food, service and atmosphere left us happy and wanting to return. Great local addition to our area.

Meh, it's a fun place for submarine culture. The food, for the price leaves something to be desired. I have been twice, and was not impressed either time. I got the philly the first time, not great, you'd have a much better one at southern River Walk. This time I got the Italian grinder, you could get anyway better Italian at subway, firehouse, or Publix, probably anywhere. For 15$ there was hardly anything in it other than lettuce (see picture). Still a fun atmosphere and great prices on drinks!

I've been to the Cow in Bremerton several times several years ago and was intrigued at a version opening here. Our party ordered several menu items, and all came out hot and delicious. A "well done" cheeseburger was ordered and had to be sent back twice, once for doneness and the other for no cheese. They handled discrepancies promptly and delivered a great product. Get the onion rings. Yummy

The French fries and onion rings were a cut above. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with the onion still intact. I asked for one quarter pound patty instead of two. A half pound burger is just too much. Not overcooked and the toppings were fresh. The only thing that could have been better was more crumbled blue cheese on the blue cheese burger. Reasonable prices, good atmosphere and submariners in the house!

I'd say they have the best burgers in town. This little slice of submarine tradition is absolutely fantastic! Donna is the best, always smiling and friendly she makes you feel like family. Horse and Cow is our favorite local spot!

I recently visited Horse and Cow, a grill and pub, and I'm eager to share my delightful experience. First and foremost, their buffalo wings are a must-try. I've ordered them on three separate occasions, and each time, they were fried to perfection, exactly to my liking. The mac and cheese bites, also ordered twice, were perfectly fried and served with a tasty ranch sauce. While I would love to see a more specialized sauce for these bites, they still hit the mark in the bar setting.
The cheese sticks were another highlight, ordered on different days and each time I enjoyed them. They were fried fresh, perfectly complemented by a flavorful and unique marinara sauce. I also tried the blue cheese burger, which was outstanding - the blue cheese was excellently chosen, the burger was fresh and hot, and the bun, perfectly fresh.
A big plus for Horse and Cow is their water. In our community, where hard water is an issue, filtered or processed water makes a significant difference. The water here was very drinkable, this not only allowed me to enjoy plain water as a beverage, but also enhanced the taste of their fountain drinks - a detail often overlooked but crucial.
The ambiance is enhanced by a crisp and clear music system and an array of submarine culture memorabilia, adding character to the place. Their signature alcohol, "Nuke Waste," had a delightful slushy, lemony taste with hints of other fruits. The staff, efficient and friendly, reflects well on the establishment, especially considering the local challenges in the service industry.
My only minor gripe was the inconsistency in the cheese sticks' batter (two different cheese stick products between visits), but I understand that supply chain issues can cause such variations. Overall, the establishment provides hot, fresh food in a welcoming environment, with clean-tasting beverages and a fun ambiance. The pricing is justified by the quality of the food and experience. They offer drink specials and daily menu specials, catering to budget-conscious customers.
In conclusion, Horse and Cow is a place I heartily recommend. If you find yourself there, perhaps we can enjoy a few beers and some mac and cheese bites together!

We wanted to love this place in our small town! The food tasted good. But we had some major hiccups here: I ordered a salad with no onion because I’m allergic and it came to me with plenty of red onions (raw of course). Ok not a huge deal- just re-make the salad. We asked twice for tartar sauce and then I had to track it down myself. Everyone got their meals with the exception of one person in our group. He waited patiently and it wasn’t coming. We inquired and our server said it would be out shortly. 10 more minutes and no meal for him. I went up to our server and further inquired and asked kindly if you can take that off my bill. The rest of us were almost done eating and ready to go when he finally got his meal. Our server said they could only take off 10% so I asked for the manager. I was told the manager was busy cooking and someone else came to speak with us. She proceeded to explain they would not remove the meal off the bill and when I had to argue back, she said she could take half of that sandwich off the bill. I settled for that. Oh and the cream beer tastes like COORS light. We won’t be back unfortunately.

Eat nextdoor, then come over for drinks.
The atmosphere and service was great. Food is bland, cheap, and overpriced. Would not eat here again. I guess if you're 60+ and lacking taste buds, it would taste good. Neighboring restaurants have better food options.
Lots of memorabilia, and great overall bar addition to the community.
