We came at 3 pm and that is the time to go! There was not a lot of people, it was quite and we had a great time. The food options are amazing. The pictures of the website are accurate. We had to wait a while for there not being that many people in the restaurant but there was only one server so we can't complain that much. To eat it was actually $30 per person so it was a little more but all the meat was fresh and totally worth the money. It was my first time ever visiting the establishment. The atmosphere was inviting and fun. Everything was very clean. I told the waiter that I was new and I needed to have a novice explanation of how the meal service works? He did not do that. My advice to anyone who is planning to visit, is to plan ahead. To enjoy this experience fully, you must get the combination service, hot pot and barbecue. Just make sure that you plan out what you want to eat so that you can get your money's worth. Look at the menu online first and come up with the strategy. Unfortunately, if you order too much food and you can't eat it, you're going to be charged for wasting food. I think I will go back and visit again with the plan to see if my experiences are better. With the location and the variety of food that is offered. I was a little hesitant to go here. But sure glad I did. All the food came out great. I couldn't of cooked it better myself......Will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely enjoyed my night out with my son! Thankfully this staff is honest and amazing! I dropped my money out of my pocket and it was returned! 10/10 will return! Definitely a great selection here as well! We love 843 Korean BBQ but this place is definitely a great place for their hot pot! Vietnamese noodles are fantastic! I'm dumbfounded by everyone who gave them a 1-3 star review in their FIRST WEEK in business! Come on guys, they are a brand new business, we need to support them! We visited them on day three and couldn't have been happier. Are they short staffed? Yes... just like every other restaurant in town. Did we get fed good food and have a lot of fun? We sure did! I have been to many hot pot restaurants and if 999 is this good on day three then I'm really excited. This is not an in an out type of meal so don't come if you're in a hurry. This is a take your time, have fun, spend an hour or two there, and really take it all in! We were stuffed when we left. Tried about 20-25 different menu items, and made some amazing sauces to dip our food in at their make your own sauce bar. I could not have been happier with our our meal went on only their third day in service. Once they get their feet under them it is going to be very very hard to get in here because it's going to be so busy. I can't wait to return!!

Update: My wife and I came back to try it again, this time on a weekday. The service was good and so was the food. However, I don't believe it's worth $35 per person. The steak we ordered was very fatty and very thin, the bacon didn't taste like any bacon I have ever eaten, and the other meats were too fatty and thin. Warning for asthmatics: I have asthma and some of the smoke from our table and others had the area smokey. It kinda messed with my asthma. It made it hard to breathe at times. Old review: This is my first time eating a Korean BBQ and I was so dissatisfied. The server came over to take our drink orders after what seemed like an eternity. He barely spoke in an audible tone so we could barely hear anything he said. After bringing our drinks he brought a glass of sweet tea for our other guest that was running late. He looks over at the glass and then looks inside the glass. This brought it to our attention. We looked at the glass it was dirty and had lip marks on it from a previous guest. We sent it back. We called him over later to order our food and he asked have we not ordered yet. Ummm, no, you are the server and you didn't take our order. We were confused on how the system works and he wouldn't speak loud enough for us to understand but we figured it out. The food finally came and they kept putting all the food on the table in front of a toddler we had with us. He kept grabbing the raw meat off the table and we told them not to put the food in front of him. They didn't listen and kept on doing it. We had to move his high chair so he would stop grabbing it. There is only one place on the table to cook the meats. Since it was six of us, two of us were not able to cook since we were sitting away from the hot plate. The plates are small and it takes a while for most food to cook. The meats are very thin and fatty. The server never took plates off the table until we told him to do so. The plates continued to pile up. Also, he never brought other plates for us to eat off until we had to tell him. When we did, he only brought four plates for six people. The dishwashers kept coming out with the carts and looking at us (their way of saying hurry up and leave). Lastly, the server and two others were sitting at the table near the drinks and massaging each other's backs. Then they started massaging the other's scalp and hair. It was a weird experience. For $35 I can find many other choices of food. I want to say I had a great experience, but I didn't. Understaffed or not, it was miserable. Also, if you have food you didn't eat, they charge $10.99 per pound because they say you wasted it. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

One of the first tables on opening night. They didn't have many things listed that I wanted like wood ear mushrooms, mussels, and scallion balls. Didn't get the 10% off for grand opening. Ran out of drink and waited a while before server ever came back to see if I needed a refill or to order more food. First experience not to great. I did love the sauce bar and the variety of different condiments. I mixed peanut butter, Sesame, garlic and ginger! The new renovations are beautiful and the ambiance feels great. A little more tweaks and attention to detail and I think the 5 stars will be deserved. *update* 5 Stars deserved. I love the everything about this place. Spicy beef, Enoki, mini sausage and quail eggs are the best! Get both the BBQ and hot pot because you can put the hot pot items on the grill and get some nice char grill taste of them!

100% would recommend going here. I’m a local food reviewer and man, I got to say they got some of the best meats specially the NY strip. My experience was overall awesome. The waitresses might take a little second to help you out but it’s because they just opened and you gotta have consideration on the fact that they are understaffed as they are pretty NEW. Their all you can eat deal is fabulous for a person who is a meat lover but remember, 2 hours is your limit. They also count with a Hotpot side which is something pretty new to Charleston so that’s a plus. Anyways, awesome place to take your family and have a good time. The best part was the experience but the service was horrible. I ordered the garlic chicken and was given pork instead and got very sick , yet they did not care. The food is low quality but pricey, and you have to pay an extra 10.99lb to carry the food out that you’ve already paid for. I would not return here. This korean hot pot and bbq place was clean and the topping for the soup selection were endless. Great price for all you can eat korean bbq and hotpot. The food were so good that I don’t have the before pictures only the after cook and eat pictures.
