We walked in and all the tables were dirty. No one came to take order for 20 minutes. We thought it would be better when are food came out, but no the food was warm but so much pepper it was unbelievable. Food tasted nasty. We waited 35 minutes for food. Never coming back!!! My first experience at a Huddle House in Illinois was not a good one. But visiting this Huddle House in Missouri was alot better visit. Walked into a very clean dining area and was able to seat right away. Our waitress came directly over. He had breakfast and the food was good. Being in a small town alot of the customers and staff seemed to know each other and chatted freely back and forth. Made for a very pleasant dining experience. Definitely a place we will dine again. The food was small portions, my burger was hard in certain parts of it- hurt my teeth:( . I think my burger was frozen & heated up; also very greasy. My husband's hot chicken sandwich did not have much chicken on it. We were given a very small portion of fries. The pancakes were not very good. Our waitress was nice. Everyone seemed sad& they didn't seem to want to be there. We heard the manager talk to her staff& her tone & what she said to them was not very nice. My husband said the manager was awful . My husband and I went here on Thanksgiving day. I can honestly say we will NEVER GO BACK! The WHOLE experience was awful! YES, we knew it was Thanksgiving day. So upon approaching the entrance, my husband was told, "Thank you for your service," as he's a military Vetran. He said "Thank you", and we all made small talk upon entering. We all went to our perspective seats. It wasn't very busy about 6 tables were occupied. About 1:30pm. We sat while deciding what to order and put the menus aside. Ordered our drinks Waited another 10 minutes for those. We sat for 35-45 minutes before our order was even taken. That should have been our warning! Another 35 minutes goes by and said orders are delivered to our table. My husband got his burger and my order was completely WRONG. I ordered steak,I can't even explain what was on the plate other than gravy. When I told the waitress it was not what I ordered, she got an attitude and processed to tell me that my NEW ORDER had to go to the back of previous orders! Needless to say that's NOT how it goes in restaurants. I asked to speak with manager and she came to the table I explained the situation. She processed to to snap and respond with- " YOU DO KNOW THAT IT'S THANKSGIVING DAY! RIGHT!" At this point we said that we were leaving! Asked for the bill She again snaps at us with- "NOT BEFORE YOU PAY YOUR BILL!" We had no intention of NOT PAYING for what we drank. Well, husband had taken 2 bites of his burger *that was cold when this all began. Needless to say we paid for the drinks and left! Best advice... ""DO NOT PATRONIZE HUDDLE HOUSE in Farmington Missouri!'" Service Dine in

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Huddle House and I feel compelled to share my honest review. The service I received was extremely poor, to say the least. Despite our waitress being friendly, we encountered several issues throughout our visit. Firstly, when our food arrived, we realized that a significant portion of our order was missing. We had to specifically request the missing items from our waitress, who then had to communicate with the cook to prepare them. This resulted in a significant delay in receiving our complete meal. Furthermore, when our plates did arrive, we discovered that the eggs were not cooked properly. It was evident that there was a lack of attention to detail and proper cooking techniques in the kitchen. It was truly disappointing to receive such poorly prepared dishes. What was even more disheartening was the apparent lack of management or proper training amongst the staff. It seemed like either they had no common sense or were inexperienced, as mistakes and miscommunications were abundant. To make matters worse, while waiting for the correct dishes to be remade, I couldn't help but overhear the staff engaging in passive-aggressive conversations about our situation. This unprofessional behavior only added to our frustration. Overall, my experience at Huddle House left me greatly dissatisfied. The poor service, lack of attention to detail, and unprofessional conduct made it clear that improvements in management and staff training are desperately needed. Huddle House is SO delicious, and much more established than I ever thought. Their biscuits and gravy are AMAZING! About to go have dinner there in a little bit actually! Our meal at our local Huddle House was really very good. Our waitress was friendly, quick to take our order, quick to bring our food while it was all still hot, and great about refilling my coffee cup. Our food was prepared very well -- I like my bacon crispy (or "breakable"), and my eggs "over medium" ... and that's what I got! :-) What more could you ask for??? UPDATE: Latest meal (10/30/23) included a pecan waffle, which had been cooked to perfection - it was lightly browned, nice amount of pecans, crisp, but not overcooked, and brought to our table while the butter was still melting! I have to preface that we went on Thanksgiving for dinner. It took us 30+ min for a server to ask us for our drink order (we would have left but this was the only option other than Jack in the Box and they gave a family member food poisoning the night before). I am not exaggerating when I say it took over TWO HOURS to get our food. My husband had to go up and ask about our food when a table that showed up after us had gotten their food. Turns out, they had lost our order ticket. We ended up asking for it to-go since it was getting close to our child’s bedtime. None of the workers were apologetic whatsoever nor did we get any sort of discount on our food. We got back to the hotel and see that there were items missing from everyone’s order. Don't order the Southern Style Eggs Benedict!! The bread was tough, hollandaise sauce was split & down right nasty. My husband's toast was barely toasted even though he ask it to be toasted dark. He also ask to have onions in with his hashbrowns, there were none. The waitress did get him darker toast & got him another order of hashbrowns but still very little onion. I ordered hot tea but the waitress never ask to refill my cup. We will definitely think twice before or at all come again.
