A genuine tea garden. Great for those balmy afternoons or pleasant breakfasts. Space for kiddies to run around. Indoor and outdoor seating. Sometimes has live outdoor events. Dogs welcome. Lovely garden setting, dog friendly. Staff friendly. The food ordered was fresh and tasty. Prices for the hot meals were quite reasonable except for the pizza ordered. Very limited toppings for R192. The biggest problem coming to eat at Il Giardino is that my stomach isn't big enough!! 😄 What an absolute find, real Italian feel, real Italian food, real Italian hospitality. And keep room for the Cannoli, it's a recipe handed down from the owners grandmother. Outstanding! 10/10! Divine authentic Italian food - beautiful setting - friendly staff! This brand new restaurant is delightful and amazing and I absolutely love it! We four elderly gentlemen usually lunch every month in good restaurants in the Southern Cape, mainly in and around George Last month we picked II Giardino's and although I was not very happy with my Gnocchi Gorgonzola, my friends were well satisfied with their pasta, special burger, and Formaggi. As the man in the chair my dish was skimpy and poorly presented. I mentioned this to our excellent Zimbabwean waiter, who apologised. I am sure that this was noted. Great atmosphere in the botanical gardens. A beautiful setting in the foot of the Outeniqua’s - wonderful setting for our holiday. Wanted to have breakfast there and ordered a coffee and cuppuccino while we studied the menu. 15 Minutes later, still no coffee but the waitress came to ask if we had decided on what to order. I asked about the coffee and she said it's being made. I asked if the food would take as long as the coffee and she said yes. I asked her to check on the coffee and she disappeared.
