Today was my first time here. My daughter actually rode past it a week ago. Today we stopped in and I’m glad we did! From the cleanliness to the customer service to the food was amazing! I appreciate good food but even more so, great customer service. It just makes the food taste better! lol My daughter got the rice and beans with oxtails and cabbage and I don’t eat rice that much so I got just oxtails and cabbage. I did order beef patties and two festivals. Festival is like a different kind of Jamaican cornbread. Didn’t take pics of that because we ate it too fast. Lmbo They’ve been open a month and a half and this is an Authentic Jamaican restaurant and they are really good! First time and it wasn't a good experience. The jerk wings were not only bland...they were raw and had blood in them. They don't give you enough oxtails for the price. The beef patty barely had meat in it. The service was good. I may give them another chance. I just gotta be honest. They did give us some Oxtails to go for the wings being undercooked. I called in a to-go order on Christmas Eve-Eve.. It was easy to place the order over the phone and the food was hot, delicious, and they have VERY decent sized portions... We ordered curry chicken and jerk chicken and both were very good... I would've like a little more spice on the jerk chicken but everything was still tasty. Baked Mac and Cheese was like that of a soul food spot and very good... I didnt get to try the plantains but I plan on trying them again when plantains are in stock. GREAT food. GREAT service. And the atmosphere was good. It just recently opened and definitely is a spot I’ll be returning to. I had the ox tail and can’t wait to try the goat curry dinner. Just stumbled upon this place this evening and so glad I did; walked in to a nice clean atmosphere. Lively wall decor of reggae legends line the waiting room. Super clean insider. Ordered Curry goat Rice and peas with side of cabbage and beef pattie. Food is hot, fresh; I got the “medium” which could probably feed one realllly hungry guy or perhaps even two people. Maybe I caught the cook on a bad day. The food presentation is good but it's missing the authentic Jamaican taste. The cabbage tasted like my grandma makes and she's American, the rice had no taste but they give you a ton, and there was barely chicken for what they're charging. Mac & cheese was so delicious & flavorful it’s rare a Caribbean restaurant make good Mac & cheese. The oxtails was delicious I just wish they’d serve more oxtails it’s a tease. Beef Pattie’s are very good as well. This the best Caribbean spot in Charleston/ Summerville by far!
