After seeing Santa Monica Looff Hippodrome, come for a meal. Invite your friends with you to enjoy tasty crab cakes, corn chowder and grilled squid. This restaurant offers good fruitcake, red velvet cakes and French toasts. A selection of delicious martinis, champagne or chardonnay is offered to guests. This is an awesome restaurant to gather for great food and service. The fresh cut hardy 🌹 roses on each table are beautiful touch. The decor is inviting as well beautiful. Cloth tablecloth is a perfect touch for this ocean view restaurant. Perfect date restaurant. There are three dinning areas. There is a heated patio area in the front of the restaurant, a main dining area and a heat lanai. The Crab cakes are seasoned with a burst of flavor. I enjoy my Main course shrimp salad with large chunks of avocado. (DELICIOUS 😋). The drink menu is vask in selection. There was soft music playing throughout the restaurant. Juan and Jesus were our waiters, and I enjoyed every minute with them. We had fresh bread with warm soft butter. Our 🍷 wine was a perfect touch with our meal. Valet parking is available. They had a prefixed Thanksgiving menu. It was fabulous, the beautiful boat painting is an artist Ed roche, So I became a lover of his art by this boat photo that is in the restaurant. The atmosphere at The Ivy is incredible. Fresh flowers and a beautifully set table. When my daughter and I first arrived for lunch on a Thursday around 130 pm the restaurant was half full. We were sat in the back dining room. It was a chilly day (55) and cloudy. They had the overhead heaters in and it was very warm when we first arrived that it was almost too hot to stay. Once we acclimated our glorious wait staff of 3 different servers made sure our glasses were full at all times and continuously checked to make sure we were OK. My daughter ordered the margherita pizza and a Caesar salad while I had the crabcakes and the delicious Caesar salad with anchovies. I have never had a Caesar salad with anchovies, which is the original way to eat it, and it gave it a very unique and salty taste that I actually enjoyed. I was not impressed with the three small crabcakes. They seemed to be over cooked and I chewed on a shell or 2 and that is why I give it 4 stars. Nonetheless, the remoulade sauce was delicious and complemented the crab cakes that were dry and crunchy. I can’t express enough how friendly are waiters were and when they found that we were from out of town, they took the time to give us really good recommendations on where to go. Our total came to a little over $120 for 2 people with tip know which was but also wasn’t surprising.

What a fantastic experience. The best service and food I've had in a long time and we're no strangers to fine restaurants. Our server Sina was outstanding - friendly, attentive but not at all overbearing. The oysters, lobster, pasta, desserts were all above and beyond. Don't miss this place the next time you're at the Pier (or anywhere near Santa Monica)! I wish I could leave 10/10, and a great shout out to Juan at the bar. He is the star of the show. I loved the food and drinks, must try passion fruit martini. And service was above and beyond. Wonderful atmosphere with great relaxing music and flowers all around. Can't wait to be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came here with high expectations. We started with the burrata salad with beets and arucula. The beets were dry and felt like it was cooked yesterday and not today. The seasoning was tasteless. The burrata was a low quality burrata (we ate many times in Italy and it does not taste even close). The main course we had the spinach ravioli and the ragu pasta. The spinach ravioli was over oily and the spinach inside tasted strong garlic. The ragu pasta was tasteless (we fixed adding lots of parmesan cheese on). Who eat this food in Italy knows this supposed not to taste like that. We finished with the brownie which was the only amazing food we had there. Total? Almost $200. Is it worth?
