Sat outside and waited 15 mins simply to be acknowledged, literally staff passing by and no one stopping. After I finally asked one of them to get me a menu, I was given the menu and asked to order by the cashier. That was when I just got up and left. Service: 2

Located in the middle of town next to the church, you can find this small but cosy Restaurant / Cafè. The staff is very helpful and the food is plain amazing. Visited Jalies yesterday evening for a nice coffee. The servers are friendly. They recommended me the red velvet pastry what they are known for and it was delicious. Coffee was amazing and I also tried their ham and cheese toast. It was delicious as well. The cafe is well spread out in 3 sections. There is seating outside, inside ground floor and upstairs. Its a nice,relaxed place next to the church. I was there during the evening. Had beef salad. It was just amazing,best salad so far in Malta. Also very nice cocktails. Burger was tasty,but I liked more salad then Burger.

Very good variety of cakes, flavoured iced coffees, hot drinks, smoothies, milk shakes, etc. Excellent place for breakfast or afternoon tea. I've been there multiple times with my wife and kids and the food and drinks were always delicious, staff was friendly and prices were fair.
