Super friendly owners. We weren't sure what to pick, so he made suggestions, and we took him up on them. We had the oxtail, jerk chicken, and chicken stew (and a Jamaican bread/rum cake that was strong but yummy). Everything we had was tasty. It was spicy, but not make you cry spicy. I would definitely recommend. Especially if you're looking for something other than fried seafood.. The food was very superb and I would rate it 5 stars. Very large potion sizes. Although it took a while for the food to arrive because they were making it from scratch, it was totally worth it. It was fresh, rich in flavor and very delicious especially the oxtail and the beef patties. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

I stumbled upon this place looking for Jamaican food. Wanted to travel a little further out and was led here. I have absolutely NOOOOOOO regrets. The atmosphere was so relaxing as if you were visiting Jamaican and Honduran relatives. The owners are so invited. The food is everything! The food is so good that it can absolutely be addictive. I ordered the veggie plate with a vegetable pattie with a ginger drink. I was extremely full but kept eating. It was so good that I ordered a plate to go. I couldn't believe how good the food was. I will definitely be back. I want to also try the Honduran food but will definitely need help with the menu. I brought 2 oxtail dinners a jerk chicken dinner and 2 beef patties. Everything was awesome and I can't wait to return. Buying more than 2 beef patties next time. Do fret about the prices believe me there worth it. Awesome place to spend my money with pleasure. Dont forget about the homemade tortillas delicious too Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Johnny and his wife make for a great combination as a couple who own this very personable and friendly restaurant that serves authentic delicious Jamaican and Honduran cuisine. Johnny has a bigger than life personality with a great smile and eager to please customers.....but the best part is their delicious home cooked meals....the rice n beans with plantain cooked to perfection is delicious I had Jerk snapper served with cooked cabbage and carrots. If you enjoy Jerk lobster let Johnny know in advance and he will order and prepare this for you.....their restaurant is super clean open and bright. We love love love this restaurant and Slidell is fortunate to have their services. Food was amazing! Husband got jerk chicken and I got brown stew chicken…portions are abundant. Chicken was soooo tender! This is a small restaurant so don’t expect quick , attentive wait service. But all staff and chef’s are friendly and answered questions. They need to offer more to drink - sugar free and water. Beer would be awesome lol. Loved this place and will be back. This is the best food I have had since I moved to LA. I know ya’ll are real proud of your Cajun food and crawfish. But, sorry. This menu offers flavors for the whole pallet. Portions are massive. We got the fried fish, jerk shrimp, and coconut shrimp and we were IMPRESSED. The Jamaica juice was amazing. The coconut rice and salad that came with our meals were really tasty too.
