Came after lunch rush but was still very busy. The inside seating was full had to sit outside on this nice day had the combo plate brisket and BBQ pork sides of tater salad and Cole slaw food was very well seasoned and served with the right amount of sauce no complaints about the meats. Tater salad could have used a touch of mayo just a bit dry. The slaw was very good. Had green onions in it. But added to the taste good music playing outside. Had the heaters on so was very pleasant. Only down side only saw my server when food was brought out. Had to go inside to ask for a box overall for BBQ in Augusta goes in the top choices for me will return overall grade A- service needs improvement.

The atmosphere was good. The customer service is good too. However, the food was not so great. It was not what I expected at all, especially for the price I had to pay. My wife was disappointed she had a pulled pork sandwich that was dry and didn't have enough sauce. My kids as well as I had sandwiches that weren't tender or moist but dry. The only thing we enjoyed was the mac n cheese, it was very creamy. Which is the only dish I can recommend.

Me an the family came to check it out to see if the hype was real and it is! We were not dissatisfied. Everything we ordered was good. Even the kids liked it. We tried the wedge fries with the brisket. The potato salad was the best with that vinegar pull pork. My husband got ribs. Kids had grill Cheese & tenders. Dessert was Lemon pie. Didn’t disappoint. & can’t forget the biscuits! I’m glad they have a drive threw

Smoked Brisket
Dined in on a Saturday evening at about 5:20 pm with a party of 6. The line to get inside was out the door and wrapped around the porch. Fortunately, there were heaters on the porch. It took about 30 minutes to get inside to order. Limited indoor seating, there is a bar and bar seating. Not a lot of room for larger parties but tables can be moved around. We sat outside on the porch. It was cold outside but the heaters made it bearable. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time except for the baked potato which took about an extra 15 minutes. The food was hot and delicious. Make sure you try the muffins. The service was excellent. They must do a lot of drive thru business, because the line was wrapped around the building the entire time we were there. This probably won't be a regular eat out place for me, but more of a once in a while.

Placing your order for dine in is a slow process ( and this wasn't even their busiest time) meanwhile the take out section had no customers and that staff person just stood there with nothing to do while the dine in order taker had to manage the 3 -4 parties that was at their station. They definitely need to work on a more efficient system. But after that...everything pretty much went smooth. Staff/ servers were nice and checked on us several times. They had great attitude about getting us extra butter & sour cream for our loaded baked potatoes. Definitely, will go back again but hope they continue to work on a better system of getting orders taken.

Loaded Bar-B-Q Baker with Pulled Pork
As a foodie and semi professional google reviewer I give Jim and Nicks 10/5. This was my first time going since it opened. I ordered the pulled pork with collard greens and Mac n cheese. It came with 2 little cornbread muffins. The muffins were absolutely yummy. All of the food was very delicious. Nay, Vee and Hugh were super sweet and I totally recommend 100%

Slightly better than other chains in the area. The cornbread minis with cheese are fantastic. Wings are exceptional, maybe best in area but found the ribs, turkey and pulled pork to be above average. If dining in keep in mind the music plays loud inside, it was hard to converse with anyone.if they are not beside you. Bartender was excellent!

Update on tonight’s dinner which remains to be so incredibly fresh and delicious as per usual! We ordered the family feast again and the pulled pork, cheese biscuits and mac&cheese was outstanding! Had the fries for the first time and they were well seasoned, crispy and soft inside just like I like them! We just can’t get enough!!🤤
Believe the hype because this bbq restaurant will exceed your expectations! If you decide to stand in line for dine in (goes around the corner) or go through drive thru (looks like a parking lot), you will be rewarded with some of the best barbecue around! The side of the building has a separate entrance for Take out which is what we did. Of course that line was out the door too but again, well worth your wait. The place was packed and everyone’s face either displayed the same anticipation and drooling face 🤤 or the joyful and satisfied face after biting into a forkful of delicious and very fresh, Mac & Cheese, Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket (marbled and chopped as we prefer), the absolute BEST Baked Beans you will ever have and the hands down BEST cheese and honey butter biscuits! Our experience was wonderful and I can’t wait to go back for more!!! Excellent and courteous staff and always on task. Much success and prosperity to the owners!

I cannot rave enough about my experience at Jim N’ Nicks. The onion rings were out of this world!! We got the loaded potato with chicken, the brisket, and the fried catfish. All of the meat was tender and delicious and the sides were great as well. Also loved the patio set up and the friendly staff.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at this place. I am from Ga therefore to me NORMALLY chain BBQ spots don’t sit well. The beef brisket was tender, the potato salad was different than what I’m used to but it was good nonetheless, the turkey was juicy and seasoned. Everyone at my table had the brisket and enjoyed it. We will definitely be back. I do wish the dine in area was larger.
