This is definitely one of my go-to places in Fairfield. They have a great menu. The dessert selection is very large. I had the banana putting today. The atmosphere is good. They also have catering. Ali the owner is very friendly and accommodating, He does his best to make you feel welcome and happy with what you get. They have a good selection of fish, chicken is good, actually everything is outstanding. I definitely recommend this place if you're hungry. This location sucks. I got here around noon on a Friday, made my order than sat down. I noticed the cook in the kitchen taking previously fried chicken (probably from the night before) out of a tote and re frying them for my order. I purchased fried fish also, when I got home there were fresh fish on the top, but the fish on the bottom was old and dry. I spent $120 at this place and will not be returning! Was in the area and craving some fish and chips. This was not the place to go. Fish is soggy though the breading is crisp. The breading has flavor in some bites, but not consistently throughout. The portions are large. For a full, I was given four large pieces of fish. Too much to eat. For the price, it was a lot of food, so that’s a positive. The fries were decent, but a bit soggy inside as well. Service is quick and the store is clean. Will be looking for a different fish and chips shop next go around in the area. Being from Chicago we were excited when we saw a JJ Fish on our route to Lake Tahoe. The chicken was good but our perch was awful. So disappointed. I had to send an update. My family actually ended up sick after eating here. Our trip to Tahoe was almost ruined and my daughter threw up our entire ride home. There had to be something wrong with the perch because the only one that didn't get sick was my mother in law who had catfish instead. We will never visit this location again. Where do I start? Portion? For a "small" size you're really getting a portion big enough for two people. Don't be fooled by the size. Small got me three filets of a red snapper, some fries, and two slices of bread. The "large" size was suppose to only be four filets. Cost? For the portion I received, this was a steal. Not even sure why the price didn't go up with inflation. Service is great, customers are awesome, and place was clean. Best part was the food was fresh and hot out of the oil fryer. We ordered Red Snapper, small fried shrimp & oyster combo. All 3 were extremely overcooked. The catfish sandwich was good. Because the catfish was a thicker portion than all of the other proteins. Desserts and sides were Great. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our 1st point of contact was awesome customer service. The fella who took our phone order & cashiered was a joyful delight. Food was fresh and delicious! We had catfish (oh shazaam best I've ever had) and whiting fish (meh it was ok). Collard greens, mac n cheese, and okra was yummy! We'll be back fo' sho'!
