We usually go to oriental takeaways in boon street which has the same online rating. In comparison I found this food flavorless and unappetising. There weren't enough veges in the chowmein and a centimeter of water sitting at the bottom of the egg foo young. We were gutted to have to throw away the leftovers because noone wanted to eat them. For $10 I feed my wife and myself, with leftovers, which I will consume before sunrise! Shop is clean, run by a family who work hard to deliver a good service.

Always come to this particular fish n chip shop and it never disappoints. Can definetly tell they change their oil regularly, great prices. Lovely food! Food: 4 Service: 4

I ordered a combination Nashi Goreng which was fragrant with lots of meat which was tender and fresh. Although it was more like a curry fry rice than an authentic Indonesian dish but it was still delicious and can’t complain. Food: 5

Fine, but not great. Chow mein was made with spaghetti which was quite odd! Service was quick and friendly.

Sorry to say the service wasn't friendly, the combination chowmein mustve been the worst I've ever had. Don't like leaving this type of review. We left Whakatane early the next day so didn't have a chance to say to them personally Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Fried rice was flavourless. Chow mein had weird spaggetti noodles. Service was quick though. I won't go back Service Take out Meal type Dinner

A good range of Chinese dishes (including cheap smorgasbord selection), burgers and deep fried food (fish is great). Open later than most. Quick service. Service Take out Meal type Dinner
