We went last night for dinner. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, it was large fried shrimp with the bang bang sauce on top, and the fried calameri were both delicious appetizers! My parents both got the seafood salad and added salmon to it grilled and blackened, both were delicious! I ordered the cup of New England clam chowder with a dozen raw oysters. Also delicious! My husband had the seafood platter with baked potato and fried green beans. Food and drinks were great with a beautiful view of the water. We will definitely go back! Five stars! Reuben? Not sure they know. Even for eastern NC it was way less than average. Sauerkraut sandwich would have been more accurate. I don’t enjoying talking bad about local businesses but cmon man! WTAF? Just do better, local review. 1/32 of an inch slice of maybe corned beef that doesn’t even cover the bread…..embarrassing. And soggy fries? It’s not hard. Absolutely amazing!!! Food was so incredibly awesome. Our server Dana was the absolute best. She was on top of everything. Very attentive but at the right times (not when our mouths were full of food). The view was beautiful, and watching the boats pass was nice. It was the cherry on top of a great day. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant for more amazing sea food. Thank you for such a great experience. The servers were very friendly, but the food was terrible. Everything seemed like it had been cooked previously and reheated. The “fresh” green beans were just heated canned beans and they used pickled garlic. I got fried pickles and the fish tacos. The pickles were good. Can't beat the waterfront dining. We will be back!!! Busy and understaffed like everyone else. But the difference is being apologetic and explaining in advance. The meal was delivered in a timely manner even with being busy. The food was outstanding. We were told of this place from a local and we are so glad that we went. The food was absolutely amazing. We did a early lunch- which I recommend- and everything was so good. For appetizers we got bang bang shrimp and the crab dip. The bang bang shrimp let alone could be a meal- they were out of this world. The crab dip was very good and the pita bread was so soft. Our group got shrimp, grouper, fried green beans, fried zucchini, crab cakes, fried shrimp sand-which, burger and a kids grilled cheese. While all of the food was amazing, we really spoke high of the grouper, crab cakes and fried zucchini. The service was absolutely incredible as well. Our waitress(who I totally forgot her name, but had dinosaur tattoos) was one of the best, if not the best we have ever had. There was a mix up of our sweet tea and unsweetened tea and it turned out to be a huge joke with our table. Our first time here (lunch) and we weren’t disappointed at all! Kim our server was super nice and attentive! They had lunch specials (that included your drink) which we tried..I had the shrimp basket and fries!!! Fresh shrimp and not overly breaded… very good cocktail sauce and fries were hot and fresh! My husband had the Reuben sandwich and fries…nice big ol Reuben with all of the classic ingredients!! We’re putting this on our list to return for dinner. We had a few places we wanted to try out for dinner tonight and settled on JM's. I am SO happy we did! I had one of the specials of the night which was scallop tacos! The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. We received our food and drinks quickly. Our waitress did a spectacular job attending to us! The views from outside were to die for!! Fantastic experience. Food was delicious and all staff were very friendly. We got the Bang Bang Shrimp, Salmon dinner, and the Baja Shrimp Tacos. Stopped in for a drink after getting to the island. Great views. Decent selection of drinks. Bartender was quite nice but she seemed a little over her head as she wasn't quite sure how to properly mix a mimosa and even though I reported the "All Day IPA" as being "off" (it's my daily drinker... I know what it is supposed to taste like) she said she thought it was good. Nonetheless, she replaced it with a different beer... no questions asked... so thanks for that. I also got a seriously cracked pint glass. Again, not a big deal but something a bartender should catch on the front end.
