Joe’s Pho is a beautiful, open, large space with plenty of seating. The lady who greeted me was absolutely so kind, polite and never stopped smiling. She checked on me several times to make sure I was ok as it was my first time. As soon as I sat down, someone brought me water and rice cakes to snack on. Their menu has plenty to choose from. I got the grilled chicken plate. Definitely worth $18, so much food, and came with a soup. I also got a salted cream cold coffee which was delicious. The food was delicious and fresh. Thank you! Came here for the first time for a late lunch on a Monday. Not busy at all, so able to get a table immediately. Ordered the regular size Special Combination Oxtail Pho @ $18.95, shrimp crepe appetizer (forgot the name, note picture in the menu, but not listed with a price as an item, $15), and a peach fruit tea drink @ $6.50. I found the food to be really pricey, but everything was above average. I will stop in again and try some of their other items. The restaurant is large with a nice modern casual feel and can accommodate large gatherings, which is nice...very family friendly. There is a sports bar area with a large TV. Service was on point, and the food came out immediately. If you want your appetizers to come out first, you need to let them know. In my case, my soup came out so fast, and I waited a little bit longer for my appetizer. No big deal, but note, just in case you prefer your appetizers first. It's located in a small strip mall with lots of other eateries, which can be difficult to park, especially in the evenings on the weekends. Do not leave anything valuable in your car! Edit: DO NOT GO HERE!! They have fraudulently changed the tip amount before this place is horrible and dangerous! Edit: Be careful with takeout, once got disgusting meat balls and raw beef. And the spicy selection is EXTREMELY oily. The drinks are great but the food is VERY hit or miss. The dine in experience was good but take out is iffy. Review changed from 5 to 3 stars. Pho An Hoa is another San Leandro pho restaurant and they're extremely consistent and have very good food. Original review: The food was shockingly good! Genuinely one of the best restaurants i've ever been to! The service was very good and the servers were helpful with the menu and made sure we got everything we needed. Best Thai Tea i've ever had.

Might be pricey but it's WORTH it! Soup is very large, and the sandwich bread was warm and fresh. Delicious food great service, the smoothies were a little small but they used fresh fruit. Quality of the food here is excellent, give them a try! There's so many seats too. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hands down the best pho I have had in the East Bay. We ordered 3 chicken dishes and each one hit the spot. I truly couldn’t stop slurping the bone-in chicken pho. Definitely need to come back and try their extensive menu. My mom was with me and she dug in to the fried chicken as well! So definitely mom approved! And can I just say the whole restaurant was so clean including the restroom. Shout out to the staff for being so courteous and bringing us everything piping hot! You have to go to Joe’s time and again!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

“Pho Joe in San Leandro: A Decline in Quality” Review: I recently visited Pho Joe near 85 Degree Bakery in San Leandro, and unfortunately, the overall quality of the food has significantly declined since its inception. One positive aspect is the ample parking available for customers. However, the primary letdown lies in the deteriorating quality of both the Pho and Bun Bo Hue broth and meat. The broth, once rich and flavorful, has become disappointingly plain. This, coupled with a noticeable decrease in meat quality, makes for a less enjoyable dining experience. While other items on the menu were passable, the general consensus is that the food is overpriced when compared to similar establishments. Despite the decline in food quality, the customer service remains commendable. It’s evident that the restaurant has taken a step back from its original location, Pho Joe Original, which offered a superior dining experience. Unfortunately, unless there’s a compelling reason, my family and I won’t be returning to Pho Joe in San Leandro. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place has gone downhill since they got a new owner. We ordered Banh Canh and Bun Bo Hue and they were terrible. Do NOT eat at this location. 1.) Banh Canh is overpriced as they charged you $20+ for a bowl of udon with 2 shrimps, 2 sausages and 2 meat balls. There explaination was "everything was made by hand so it's expensive". Wth? 2.) The broth is salty and the beef rib was rubbery as hell. I can't even chew it at all. Guess I'll just go to the original location from now on. Really disappointed. They put some kind of cheap-crunchy snack on your table without your order, even you don't touch it, later they still charged you, if you remind them, they might fix the receipt, if not, a regular phở at $17.50 become almost $22 after tax, no tip yet. Trick customers to collect few $ more is the street-smart way in VN, but should not do that in here, USA. Phở , salty and too fatty if compare to others. Never come back.
