I've been visiting this friendly PUB before they expanded and I've never been disappointed in the food or the service or the clientele at this neighbor hood PUB. I am a creature of habit and tend to usually order the same thing, love the chili, However I have never been disappointed in anything I have tried at Johnny Blacks. I look forward to visiting every Thursday and there is always a friendly processional staff that is willing to give me the time of day and a small chat, over and beyond you get at most PUB's. There has been changes but yet the core feeling is still there which makes it a pleasure to visit every Thursday afternoon and enjoy an Irish water and a friendly face behind the bar and a small chat. No matter some of the negative comments I, and my friends, enjoy this place immensely and I highly suggest to visit.☘ Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Burger

Great neighborhood type bar. Everyone is friendly. Able to take larger parties. Bar fills up quickly. It's worth getting there a bit early if you like that atmosphere. Drinks and food are never disappointing. Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fries

Everything was mush & tasted awful. My Husband ordered fish & calamari. I got a steak wrap. Cost $50 & the meal was not edible. The coleslaw was hotter than the rest of the food. Pure liquid… Yum 🤮 Ordered online & was never told when the order was ready. Just had to guess. Good Luck. Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We visited for the first time on a Friday night at 10 PM. The music was lively. The DJ was bumping playing great hits that transitioned to another smoothly. This bar was very clean and I saw staff cleaning almost constantly. Our food was amazing. The fish and chips-to die for. The best. The chicken Caesar wrap was served warm and was a big serving! The fish tacos were great as well. Beer was good, decent prices as well. Our waitress was so very kind and attentive. We will be back again.

Just like the 15 mile/Sterling Heights location. Much bigger, but same atmosphere. Chicken quesadilla well made. Love the salsa. My cousin ordered a salad and didn’t disappoint. See photos.

I came here for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. On the inside it’s very nicely appointed in what else? Dominantly Black! There are about 30 large screens showing sports sure to appease. This Morning was the Wimbledon men’s final whipping up the patrons. To start I ordered a Bloody Mary. One of the best ever, complete with a skewer of pickle, mild cheese, olive and bacon. Spicy, but not over the top. For breakfast I had salmon and poached egg on a muffin. Really good. Well prepared and extremely well presented. The waitstaff could not have been friendlier or nicer! Please give this establishment a try, it’s worth the price of admission!😀

On the outside, it looks very nice. Upon entering, it smelled like a bar after a crazy Saturday night. It was Sunday, perhaps it was post Saturday shenanigans. The best way to describe is it smelled like a porter potty inside. My husband and I decided to sit outside instead. The hostess was friendly and professional. The bathrooms were worn down. One was out of commission (things happen we understand, just noting). The other wooden stall, though, was torn up. The handle was ripped off. Overall, it was a let-me-use-it-quick bathroom atmosphere. The food was good. We ordered the flash fried perch with asparagus and mash potatoes, and the chicken with angel pasta and pesto sauce. Presentation was beautiful. The perch still had some small bones in it so the dish was some work but still good. The chicken dish was a great portion size for my husband. The creme sauce was a little on the thin side so the pesto lost it's time to shine but it was still good. The food is what bumped it up to a 3 star. Our server, she was very nice. The timing on checking on us was a bit spaced out but we know some places are shorter on staff. Overall, we will most likely not return unfortunately.

The experience was ABSOLUTELY Amazing! Nice portion size and great quality of food and TASTY. Angelina was the best waitress ever. Very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. Please bring back the original burgers that was your trademark. Rochester is the BEST location.
