Lovely place to enjoy a bottle of wine out on the grass and a cheese platter. Just past the bistro which is quite busy there is another area which is quicker to order from and they have a different menu. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 200–250 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We visited the bistro today, only to have a scone and coffee, but instead ordered the Joosten-burger and cheesecake. I have not had a burger PERFECTLY cooked medium rare. Did not expect to have a good burger at all. The meat was cooked to perfection, aoili was yummy, desert cheesecake good and the vanilla pod ice cream was amazing. We had a nice lunch on the terrace. Menu is simple but food is very tasty. Try the roasted aubergine! Great place for kids too (playground and lots of space to run around). Had a great lunch here. Staff was friendly and attentive ... the food was really good (as was that glass of wine). Of course, everything is just so much better with such a peaceful view. And always enjoy their shop - from the freshly baked bread to their meat. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

The service was excellent, the food was alright and the coffee was a bit subpar with coffee grind in the flat white (more a frothy cappuccino to be honest). The view and big green lawn is a huge positive and I can see that this is a very nice place tomorrow come with your kids. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Unfortunately not a good experience, all round. Burger patty was not fresh and at the point of going off, both in smell and taste. Service was very poor and waitresses disappeared for long periods of time. Had to wait for any sort of service, including getting the bill. Corner table where we sat was bombarded with flies, and had to eat with one hand while using the other to keep waving the flies away. Waitress got the order of coffee for the one patron wrong twice, so eventually 3rd cup was correct. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
