Chowder pocket an paua pocket was so good! The big breakfast on the other hand was horrible can't believe I paid $21 for that the sausage was the worst the eggs were not cooked I asked for the to be cooked more they said yup an they came back looking more raw. We got a frappe an it was pretty much water an chocolate flavour. The customer service was so bad wasn't a welcoming place neither was the girl who served us. Do not recommend. I stumbled across this place while attempting to pass the time, and I was pleasantly surprised. The owner was great to talk to, she was freely willing to share her stories of living in NZ. The food is equally amazing, and they have a unique seafood pie. This place was so much better than I could have ever expected. Lovely little eatery with friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and good food. Tried Hangi for the first time and I thought it was pretty decent. The Paua pocket and fried bread were my favorite. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered 2 hangi pies, 1 paua pie, and a hangi. The food is on! Goes straight to the stomach and the heart. Wish I could wake up, roll off my bed and fall face first into this delicious food. The wahine that served us were friendly and helpful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Looking for more Māori food in town and followed reviews to Kai Caff. We ordered a lovely breakfast of Creamed Puau puff and Chowder Puff and both were delicious, would definitely recommend - only wish is that we got my sauce since it was so good. Best fry bread we’ve had!

Third time eating here and every time it has been delicious! Coffee was outstanding, and my partners favorite is always the mixed grill brekky and cream paua with fry bread, I got the mince on toast with eggs and it is so flavourful. I reccomend this place to everyone, cannot find a better place for a feed and generous servings! Price per person $40–50 Recommended dishes Seafood

Absolutely mean Hangi, so tender and delicious with great people and an open and free atmosphere. The menu had so many attractive options, but we had to go for the hangi, I can not recommend a better place!! Also best fried bread I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing!!!!
