Wasn’t the best masak lomak I’ve had, but it was still okay. The dish had a decent flavor, but it could have been better. The restaurant had plenty of other food options to choose from, which was great. The prices were not so cheap, but they were reasonable considering the variety of dishes available. Additionally, the place had great scenery, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
A great restaurant with many other vendors around. Spacious parking lot but still have construction in progress. Overall, the food was tasty including the traditional dish masak lemak cili padi. Many tables available. Self service style. Love the buskers too. Very sweet and warm entertainment. The price is reasonable. Was brought by our friend to makan here after visiting the royal palace. There are so many lauk to choose from over here. Love the food here. The ayam berlado is very good, will definitely get this when I come again. The masak lemak is a must try here, very lemaky and goes very well with rice. Sambal tempoyak is also fragrantz just not enough spicy and caramalised. The environment is okay, as some parts are still undergoing renovation, the live band is good and very entertaining. Sabun to wash hand very diluted as with many places. We feel the price is reasonable and food is also yummy. Self service type as most of these eateries do. Plenty of seats/ dining areas for big groups. Live band was performing when we arrived. Everything is in order, you’ve gotta Q, pick up a plate and start filling up or you could get a separate bowl for the dishes, it’s called “makan berhidang”. Just get a plate of rice, grab all other bowls of your likings. Best to have a few of your best mates to join you… Payment will be at the end of line, cash or QR pay. Drinks served mostly cordials “air balang”, bottled local drinks (coconut juices, etc.), no canned drinks. Tasted ok, wide varieties of dishes, smoked, fried, charred, grilled, you name it, there are all there. Live band was too loud, it will be great of they sounded subtle, it’s piercing our ears.. but it’s ok probably they were used to it. (Loud doesn’t mean great😅) It’s a place on its own, plenty of carparks/ slots, just park by the side. Road leading to it are not tarred just sandy ground roads. Be careful riders. Grip your tanks!! It is a beautiful place with a vast rice field view, which makes it a popular stop for motorcycle groups, especially on weekends. The food and drinks are decent, nothing extraordinary, but the pricing is reasonable. The parking lot is spacious, but it can be full during weekends. Whenever I return to Pahang, I always make a stop at this place to enjoy a drink and relax while admiring the lush green rice field view, which always soothes my mind.
If you are looking for local authentic food along your drive up, you can stop by here. Reasonable prices and fast service despite the long queue for the food. Main attraction is of course it’s Masakan salai - all types. It’s what I had expected of when looking for food in Kuala Pilah N9. The Surau is also clean as well as the toilet. It does have a busker band which is noisy while praying so go when they aren’t singing. Lots of dishes to choose from and deserts as well. Missed the chendol this round. My only ask is for the self service clod water tank to be filled fast because it’s hot out and that was a bit slow. Otherwise worth the stop and money. This is the best Malay restaurant I ever visited. Very spacious, more parking space, more dining tables, variety of Malay dishes, tasty and the price is quite reasonable. Plus, they have a live band to entertain visitors. Very interesting. This restaurant is always crowded especially around 12 to 2 o'clock but if you come late after 2, nothing left to eat. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20
Since the place is getting huge crowd, the quality of masak lemak of many varieties has dropped tremendously. It is no longer the same as the old tent by the roadside. It was a pleasant to the tastebud of negerian and the curious before. Wish the old glorious taste to return. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Nice view in the morning but the place was not ready for beautiful breakfast mood as the menu were not prepared as their operating hours 8am..Hope the owner take the action to ensure their food is ready by time especially on weekend and PH. For lunch its was superb with so many choices and taste was super original local.
