Must try their sotong petai. Every time I make the trip from KL to Segamat, it's my must have. Their sambal is fragrant, spicy, salty...just the right mix of all. Pair that with juicy squid and fresh pungent petai....chef kiss. 😘 Only set back is be prepared for not the friendliest of servers. It's an old restaurant and no menu. If you're lucky, you'll get the owner's son who is nice and patient. If not, there is a server who basically bullets through the entire order taking session like it's a full house (and you can be the only table around). 🤣 Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40

Absolutely love the sambal petai sotong, it's cooked smoky and spicy enough the goes very well with rice or even on its own, the asam fish portion is big and enough for 3 people but the asam soup is not spicy enough but is sour enough for me Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Out of so many years, quality still there, even though sometimes might drop a bit... 😂 Boss temper getting better. Last time when shop is very crowded and full house, you might be get bad tone from their service.... Now no more. Parking is very easy to find especially night time. Food taste is good, but can be better. Inside the restaurant, you might find warm as the air circulation is not enough especially cooking smokes are there.... Will try again. Love the fish head anyway.

Great food!! dishes to recommend is the spicy and sour (Asam) fish, they have different cuts of fish, just pick whichever you prefer, you won't go wrong. Then there's the fried squid with sticky bean or "petai". and their fried egg dish is very good too.

Very long wait.. best to go at 1245 PM.. if you go before that the food will arrive the same time.. maybe they central kitchen or something.. before 1245 no food will come
