Growing up in Hong Kong, Kee Wah Bakery was a household name. I remember eating lots of their cakes and baked bread as a kid. Every time I'm in Los Angeles, I always try to pick up a few items before heading back to Sacramento. I really enjoy their handmade cookies, black sesame eggrolls (wafer rolls), and mango short cake. The hard part is not buying too much! The older ladies that work there are always friendly and chatty. Reminded me so much of Hong Kong! Parking can be tricky and limted in this area. With special thanks to the dedicated and courteous employees (Lily, Susan, Sammi, Vicky, etc.) at Kee Wah Bakery (150 W Valley Blvd, San Gabriel, California) – 400 Dowry Cakes were carefully packaged and swiftly loaded onto the SUV. I was very impressed by their work ethic and professionalism at this store, and of course, their world-famous Hong Kong style bakery, pastries, snacks, and custom cakes.

Limited selection of fresh baked goods on walk in, but lots available by special order. Thankfully they seem to always have the egg tarts, Portuguese included, available. Very well done. They also have a great selection of gift boxes of cookies and other treats.
