Every dish in 5 course set menu was fantastic - flavor, texture and presentation wise. Our favorites were deer and dessert. Great wine list, was pleasantly surprised by selection of champagnes by bottle. Enjoyed the possibility of having a flavorful cocktail in a very atmospheric lounge bar after dinner with a complimentary macaron. The food was excellent - a well balanced summer menu. Also the drink/ wine pairing fit the food well. However, the pace of food and drinks arriving was very sped up, not very relaxing. We felt like running on a treadmill, because even after asking for a slower pace, no adjustment to the serving time possible - even though the website specifically said that we should plan in approx. 2.5 hours, maybe a little longer when deciding to have the wine pairing (everyone arriving within 30 minutes was served food at the same time in the end and we were pretty much done after 1.5 hours). The first wine was served just a couple of minutes after we ordered an aperitif, which we had just stared drinking. Basic service rules were not always obeyed (clearing my partner’s plate just when he put down his cutlery, while I hadn’t even finished yet). All of this led to a very rushed meal and we couldn’t really enjoy the food as much as we probably would’ve in a more relaxed setting. We would come back for the delicious food but considering the rushed atmosphere we don’t think it’s worth the money, especially with the drink pairing. Clean and cozy place. Food is unique and very delicious, you can really "experience" the food. Also chef serves the food and explains what we will be eating/drinking. Seasonal menu. A lovely dining experience. Interesting and tasty menu, with equally interesting beverage pairings available. I did think the service was slightly rushed, however this was made up by the surprise invitation to the beautiful lounge area where we enjoyed coffee and after dinner drinks, making the experience a well timed one overall. Setting is also great. Prices are very reasonable and team is friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth visiting if in the area of Cēsis. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

The biggest disappointment of our trip to Latvia. Food lacked flavour, though looked fabulous. Wine pairing very week, nonalco pairing very disappointing and over priced (5euro less than alco). We loved this restaurant with its industrial design. It’s located in a former fire station, and has big windows, making the inside bright. As we visited during June, sunlight was getting inside until nearly 22:00! The set up 5-course-menu was excellent and innovative, as were the accompanying drinks (we chose the non-alcoholic option). The staff was friendly, dynamic and very attentive. We will come back when returning to Latvia, and we highly recommend this place to everyone loving good quality and creative dinning. It’s only one hour drive from Riga, and the town of Cesis is nice to visit as well.

One of the best places I'v been. Service, food and atmosphere is perfect. Not for vegans :))) meat and wine is so well. Gin wa also so good.. ♡ Ladies room was clean, respect. After the meal You are allowed to visit lounge zone. Park for walks is near.. Good parking place. All five stars ☆☆☆☆☆
