I’ve been to this restaurant twice , the first time food was amazing , service was also great . However I came back last week and the food took over an hour to come out keep in mind the restaurant was empty it was literally me and my boyfriend there at the time . Once I complained to the server the owner got up from the table she was sitting at and walked into the kitchen area and seasoned my food with her bare hands . She didn’t wash her hands or put gloves on . I immediately let the server know and told her I would like to talk to the owner about what she did . The owner zoomed outside and disappeared for 20 minutes and still didn’t come over to my table . She sent the guy from the kitchen to come talk to us . Unfortunately I will never patronize this business again due to the lack of customer service and the owner touching people food with her dirty nasty bare hands .

My friends and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. The food was good and they are generous with the portions. The sweat tea will bring you back to the south. We got to the restaurant 15 min after they opened and when we ordered, our food took almost an hour. I suggest maybe arriving an hour after they open. The music was good but the place is very small.

1st time, love the decor but very small dining area. Mix of high tables and low tables. Would suggest reservations. Our time 12pm( open) it was 5 of us and 1 other group, by 1pm it was busy with dining in and a lot of delivery orders.
The food was made to order, so just a little wait time. We were having a good time, it went by fast.
But baby..when the food started coming out, it was great. I had the Soul egg roll and they were worth it, with the sweet potato dipping sauce.
Fried catfish 2 large pieces I could not finish and took home.
Mac and cheese, collard green and the corn bread 👍🏾👍🏾.
I ordered a dinner to take home for my husband.
I will be back.
FYI the gratuity was included with the check total, I missed it and gave the waitress an additional tip. It was fine, since she was by herself and serving as hostess, food runner and cleaning staff.

Please check your bill or ask for a print out. Food is great but they have shady business practice. The waiter gave me a hand held device to pay my check but the charges showing on the screen vs to was $9 difference. So I requested a print of the bill that's when I found out the $9 is for gratuity. Ok big deal. My entre comes with 2 sides but they charged me extra for one. What?🤔 I asked the waiter about it. Her response was "it's on the menu". My reply was, show me cause I don't see it. Her response was "I was told it's on the menu". Yes that was my experience.

I did not like the fact that they add on a “Service” Fee, when I went in to get my food. This is not explained when you place your order. My service fee was $7.00 on a $50 order. Also thru ask you if you want corn bread and don’t mention that it is $5.00 for a small piece of cornbread. They should tell you it’s not included, like most places. Food was ok, small portions. Will not return.

I really enjoyed my experience there. I went on a Wednesday Afernoon. The staff was engaging and friendly. They made me frel welcomed. My server was on point. The Chef did his thing. The food was Exceptional😋 Great portion sizes. Couldn't finish it all. Red Beans and Rice, Corn Bread, Fried Pork Chops, Corn on the Cob...My Goodness‼️😉
