Highly recommend, authentic Bombay style sandwiches and great koolfi ice cream. They have unique flavors and also have ice cream for doggies. Love the hospitality and delicious bursts of flavors. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Mumbai Toast
Cute little ice cream shop. Ordered the Gulab Jamun Sundae. The ice cream was soft and creamy. I chose the guava flavored ice cream which hinted at the guava flavor but was overpowered by the other items in the sundae. The Gulab Jamun were way too sweet for me. I could have done with just 1 of them. The hot chutney cheese toast is genius. So good, wish I would have ordered 2. Staff member was friendly and patient with my indecisiveness. Can see myself visiting again to try other treats and flavors. Plenty of seating outside and some inside. Your Local neighborhood Craft Creamery... I gotta agree the high ratings with Koolfi Creamery has. The two owners are very warm and welcoming. They are very pleasant, friendly and patient, akin to your favourite aunt... The venue doesn't have a lot of space inside, most definitely an issue if a big party comes in. There is a decent amount of room outside, but if the weather is not favorable, also a bit of an issue. I'm a big fan of the the Ice Cream here. Lots of unique Indian inspired / fusion flavors. A good healthy selection as well. If you don't know what you want or wish to try multiple flavors order an Ice Cream flight. You get 5 flavors! In addition to Ice Cream they also serve additional snacks. Definitely worth checking out...

Delicious ice cream with Indian-inspired flavors. The shop sells scoops, cones and pints, plus a few non-ice cream items. At the time of my visit there were two vegan non-dairy flavors. You can also choose between regular waffle cones and vegan gluten-free dosa cones. There is a small patio outside with benches, and very limited seating inside. Street parking only. My favorite flavor (so far) is the strawberry with tamarind balsamic. It has delicious strawberry flavor, with tanginess to balance the sweetness. Unfortunately I ate it all before taking a photo. Note for folks with allergies, a sign says: "We are a family owned small business. All our ice creams are churned on the same equipment that processes dairy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy. We wash thoroughly between flavors, but cross-contamination is possible. We also specialize in Indian flavors and mixing Indian desserts that typically contain nuts and dairy. Proceed at your own risk if you have any allergies."

SF East Bay. Love the unique flavors they have available! Bought a pint of Guava Fresh - I can taste the guava then the hint of red chilis make it interesting! We’ll be back to try other flavors & also eat at the creamery itself for desserts that can only be eaten there.

Koolfi Creamery is an absolute gem tucked away in the city of San Leandro, offering an unforgettable experience for ice cream enthusiasts seeking a taste of India. With their incredible Indian-inspired kulfi ice creams, this charming creamery has truly won my heart. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine passion for their craft. One of the most captivating aspects of Koolfi Creamery is their selection of flavors. Each scoop is a delightful surprise, boasting a unique combination of spices, textures, and aromas that take your taste buds on an exotic journey. The flavors they offer are a testament to their creativity, with a range that is both rich and complex. From classic favorites like golden chai and cardamom to more adventurous blends like toasted black sesame and orange, every spoonful is a moment of pure bliss. The creamery itself is a charming space, exuding a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With both indoor seating and a lovely outdoor patio, Koolfi Creamery provides the perfect setting for savoring their delectable treats. Upon walking into the establishment, you can instantly feel a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere, which is further complemented by the meticulous attention to detail in the decor and the vibrant colors utilized. These elements work together to enhance the overall experience and serve as a reflection of the owners' dedication and pride in their business. The owners of Koolfi Creamery are truly the heart and soul of the establishment. Their warm and welcoming demeanor makes you feel like a cherished guest rather than a customer. They take great pride in their business and are always eager to share their knowledge about the flavors and cultural influences behind each creation. Their genuine enthusiasm is infectious, and it adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the already fantastic experience. One of my favorite offerings at Koolfi Creamery is their gulab jamun sundae. This indulgent treat combines the creamery's luscious ice cream with warm, fried balls of dough soaked in sweet syrup, topped with pistachios and delicate rose petals. The combination of flavors and textures is simply divine, creating a dessert experience unlike any other. It's a must-try for anyone looking to embark on a sweet and aromatic adventure. For those seeking a variety of flavors, I highly recommend the ice cream flight. This allows you to select five flavors of your choice, enabling you to sample a diverse range of kulfi creations. Whether you opt for traditional favorites or more daring concoctions, the flight is an excellent way to discover new favorites and appreciate the artistry behind Koolfi Creamery's offerings. To top it all off, Koolfi Creamery also offers pint-sized containers of their delightful ice creams, allowing you to bring the flavors home and extend the enjoyment beyond your visit. It's a thoughtful touch that ensures you can savor their unique creations at your leisure. In conclusion, Koolfi Creamery is a haven for ice cream enthusiasts and culinary adventurers alike. With their exceptional Indian-inspired kulfi ice creams, warm hospitality, and delightful ambiance, it's an experience that will leave you craving more. Koolfi Creamery is a shining example of passion and dedication in the culinary world, and it's an absolute pleasure to support such a fantastic business.

I've been here many times and always enjoyed indulging in the unique flavors of this Indian inspired small batch ice cream shop. Their cardamom ice cream is creamy, the mango lassi is refreshing, the guava with chillies has just the right kick and the Mysore Pak is yummy. But my all time favorite is the classic Koolfi. And being queer owned is a cherry on top. Their staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Good service, friendly owners and most importantly, yummy ice cream. Highly recommend.
