Just went there for the second time within a 4 year span for my birthday. Loved the music and staff. Treated us like family. Shout to Oliver!!!! He's amazing. I definitely recommend you check it out. The bartender Luis made great drinks and never left us without!

Love the bar, and the staff is by far the real reason to come here. My only issue is the insane volume during drag shows. 50 people or 1 the volume is the same. And the sound system can’t handle the volume. But still a great place, just know it’s LOUD.
We fell in love with this place. The staff was amazing, friendly and so much fun. Happy hour was our favorite. We can’t wait to return and spend more time in this great bar among good friends and in a spectacular city. We would recommend anyone going there for a great time.

We LOVE La Chachalaca! Come for the drinks and shows, but stay for the people!
While visiting Puerto Vallarta we wanted to find a place that we could watch some drag shows with our kids (by their request) and we stumbled across this restaurant/bar last during our trip last year. It was so much fun we spent 3/5 nights there and at least 7/10 nights of this trip were spent hanging out there singing, dancing, eating, watching shows, and making friends. We will never stay anywhere in PV that is out of walking distance to La Chachalaca as my entire family wants to be there daily and some of our happiest vacation memories have happened there.
As one would hope, the drinks are made exactly to order, the food they serve is tasty, the location and venue are nice (yes, there's AC), and the prices are reasonable, but it's the people that bring us back. The service is excellent and attentive, the drag performers are entertaining (and kid-friendly when they see young ones there), and the clientele they attract are fun people.
Most importantly, La Chachalaca IS family. The folks who work there are family to each other and to those who enter; it is a safe and affirming place for all who want to be there, regardless of their background. As parent to a teen who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I cannot emphasize how much it means to us that this place exists. The people we have encountered at La Chachalaca have taken my kid (and the whole family!) under their wings. They are supportive of us all, validating of my kid's experiences, encouraging to both of my children, and positive role models. We are thankful to be part of La Chachalaca family and we highly recommend you visit this wonderful establishment!

Love taking friends here! It’s one of my favorite bars in PV. The drinks are delicious and the music is always amazing. They often have drag shows which are great! It’s a small bar so the shows are very intimate and involved with the customers. Love love love this bar!
We came today at 6pm, there were no other guests but us , I wanted to sing karaoke and drink Cocktails. I sang only 3 songs. 1 cocktail and 15 min later they said that I am not allowed to sing anymore because their boss doesn’t want it and they should be prepared for their drag show that starts at 9pm . I finished my only drink and went away. Thanks for “great” evening mood. Will never come back ofc
