This place is a hidden gem of fine cuisine and the best service for a dining experience you just don’t get anywhere anymore. I came for dinner and had the Duck Dumplings for a starter, which was outstanding and the beef bourguignon as an entree. My daughter had the meatballs and honestly I couldn’t rate one of the 3 meals above any other as they were all so amazing! The staff is so polite, attentive and professional as well. And the wine pairings are unbeatable. I will 100% visit again and recommended this place to everyone!

On August 22 I came here to have dinner. I had quite the experience. The wait staff was attentive. I had the special appetizer which was the bacon Mac & cheese this dish was very delicious and scrumptious and I also ordered the meatball appetizer. For the meal I had the Pan seared salmon entree. Everything tasted delicious and was freshly cooked. I will come back and dine again.

I recently dined at LA Cuisine Du Chevalier and had an outstanding experience! 🍽️ The shrimp and grits were a true delight, among the best I've ever had even though I've lived in SC my whole life. 🍤🥣 The beef short ribs were equally amazing, incredibly flavorful and tender. 😋🥩 The appetizers, duck dumplings and shrimp scampi, were both excellent choices that left us wanting more. 🦆🍤
Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch. 👏🏼👨🍳 The attentive staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable, catering to our every need. 🙌🏼💯 Overall, I would rate LA Cuisine Du Chevalier a solid 5 stars for the incredible food, exceptional service, and cozy ambiance. Can't wait to dine here again! 🌟👍🏼

Pleasantly surprised! We have learned not to trust other people's taste buds/referrals nor most reviews.
Food was great 👍 Not necessarily French (which is completely fine with us- a few options were but not as a whole) I had the chef's Saturday night special -Mixed Grill. It was a 5 oz filet cooked and flavored to perfection 👌
The scallops and shrimp were fresh and good but not perfect like the filet. Homemade mashed potatoes with fresh asparagus were outstanding BUT the showstopper was the red wine sauce! A French sauce/gravy that paired wonderfully with everything on the plate. The first photo is my dish and each of the others dishes.
There were 4 of us, all of the dishes were great, the four star was for the duck dumpling appetizer. They were okay. Compared to our main dishes and delicious desserts- we probably wouldn't order those again.
We can't wait to go back and try some additional dishes.

You don't need to go to Charleston for a top-notch dining experience. La Cuisine Du Chevalier is easy to overlook being in a strip mall but it is a serious restaurant. We had a large party trying almost everything on the menu and all were pleased. I personally don't care for salmon but tried a bite here. It was delicious. Also of note were the grits that accompanied several dishes - creamy and crave worthy.

My husband and I stopped in without a reservation and luckily they found us a table. I have the special; filet, scallops asparagus and potatoes. This was a fabulous tasting meal. The steak and scallops were perfection. My husband had shrimp grits and he also loved it. Our appetizer was the crab dip which was so good! Our waitress was awesome! Wonderful experience!

Best new restaurant in Charleston. This is a place where the Chef’s culinary passion constantly competes with his deep experience and attention to detail. Every bite of every dish was an emotional experience. Refined food with proper southern hospitality. Looking forward to being a regular here. Bravo chef. Thanks for the memories.

Easily the best restaurant in knightsville!
Service is as fast as I would expect for the price point and quality.
The atmosphere I think is still being developed ( we came in the first week). The menu is also still being developed (soup, wine, and dessert are still to come).
The shrimp and grits are likely the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). They are cheesy and savory without being hearty and overwhelming. The duck dumplings were delicious and surprisingly sweeter than I expected. The meatballs were good and I'd suggest them but they aren't at the same level as the rest of the food. The duck entree and steak entree were both well seasoned, well cooked, and well worth the money.
I haven't been this excited for a restaurant in a while and I cannot wait to bring friends and family here!!

This is a great addition to restaurants for the Knightsville area of Summerville. Food was delicious, service was lovely, and I appreciate that they accept reservations. I enjoyed lunch with my husband here today. Next time, I would love to try out the cheese board, a glass of wine, and some desserts. All their desserts sounded delicious, but I was too full to order one today. Also I love that outside seating appears to be an option too, I’m not sure if they allow you to eat outside- but I hope to do so when the weather is a touch warmer! Good space between the tables inside. Special today was gumbo- really nice flavor, I’m hoping that makes it onto the menu permanently.

Did not have reservations but were able to seat us at the bar. Had the duck dumplings as an appetizer. That was definitely my favorite. Entrees were very good. We tried the steak and braised short ribs. Cooked perfectly. Had chefs special dessert and coffee. Dessert was bananas foster bread pudding. All flavors on point. And I loved the French press coffee. Prices were very comparable to similar restaurants!!
