The food here is great, I mostly do breakfast but today I was running late and they stop at 1pm and got there around 1:10pm so I decided to try their lunch menu and it didn’t disappoint. I had the enchiladas rojas and they were tasty and cheesy and plenty of chicken also. The mole enchiladas are also very good and they have a great selection of desserts you can grab. The prices are also a plus. Will be coming back again and again.

A local recommended this restaurant. Must try!!! Line was nothing but locals. We waited about 45 min for a table. But totally worth it. Great atmosphere and the Huevos Rancheros and Huevos Rancheros con Mole, chips and salsa were all SOOOO good. Muy Bien!

Our first time coming to this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the services from Jaasiel were excellent. There lady making flour and corn tortillas fresh on the spot. They make their own cheesecake and cake at the restaurant. Wow 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Delicious food as always. Had the pork tamales this time and they didn't disappoint. Even took some home with us. Also had the chilaquiles which were great. I did think the Cafe de la Hoya was a little off this time. The flavor was different and it was not hot as usual but it was still great!

We waited 30 minutes to be seated, and it was definitely worth it. The place is beautiful & clean. When you walk in, the yumny smell of café de olla hits you. As you are being seated, you'll see a lady making fresh tortillas. Highly recommend this place!

Great Mexican restaurant in the heart of the city. I’ve been coming for years but the restaurant in my eyes has only gotten better.
I ordered the Rib eye, it came with a soup, an appetizer (chicharrón de tripa) and ‘frijolones’.
The server was courteous and helpful tough he would leave for several minutes at a time, I suppose he had a large table or something else going on.
First came some chips and salsa, the salsas are very spicy, I like spicy salsas but I guess these definitely beat me.
Then came the soup, they had ran out of the ordinary soup (not sure what it was) but I was happily surprised with a soup that included mushrooms and spinachs. It was great.
Then came the chicharrón de tripa, sort of like the tripe from the menudo but turned into chicharrón, that was amazing. Never had tasted something like that before. I loved it.
The rib eye came in a skillet, I had asked for medium because I was a little worried about the quality of the steak as in Mexico it’s not easy to find a good quality steak even at pricey places. I usually order medium rare. My steak came medium rare, no fuss. The meat was tender and juicy, good flavor, unfortunately it had too much nerve. I would suppose this steak was ‘select’ per USDA standards, or maybe below select. But it wasn’t a total bust, the steak had good flavor and with so much food eaten before it’s arrival, I was satisfied soon even after leaving 1/3 of the steak due to the many nerves within it.
The frijolones were a good companion to the steak although they were not as surprising in flavor as the other dishes.
All in all I totally recommend this place.
Ownership: If you see this review please consider changing meat suppliers, the quality of that steak was the difference between a good meal and a heavenly experience.

I highly recommend this place for great service, delicious food, and good times. The downside may be wait times and price depending on your budget.
Starting at the entrance the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The waiter was knowledgeable and professional.
The coffee alone was a strong indicator of the effort put into the fare provided at this restaurant, very well prepared. My party and I ordered breakfast food for brunch, I was overjoyed that menudo blanco was an option.
All in all, the time was enjoyable, and overall experience has me wanting to go back again soon, I look forward to my next cup of coffee there.
My coworkers told me that Espanda was the place to go for breakfast. I wanted to get breakfast but they only serve it in certain hours of the day. The server came with chips and salsa. Also brought over some sort of shredded beef. Asked for some tortillas and it took like 15 minutes, think he just forgot about it. Anyways I ordered the Beef Brochette which is like a Beef Skewer with Steak, Bacon Wrapped Meat, Green Pepper, Tomato, Onion and it came sizzling on a place. It also had a side of soup or salad, I went with the soup which was tomato based tortilla soup. It also came with house beans. My friend ordered the Filet Mignon, it came in a mushroom and white wine sauce, it looked pretty good. Solid place but wish I could order the breakfast.

One of the best restaurants in Tijuana! You can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner here and it’s all high quality and great tasting. I highly recommend the ribs and the cheese dip.
