Truly an amazing experience for our last meal in Portugal, at least for this trip. We certainly plan to return! Our server was very attentive and the owner was charming as well. The food was delicious and the prices incredibly reasonable. Also a side note, the first Italian restaurant I've eaten at where a basil plant was at the table to add your own flavor as desired. Best dining experience in Porto! The gnocchi dishes and bruschetta were fantastic. Tiramisu was divine and mom's recipe too! The owner and staff are so kind and passionate about Italian food. ugh best food I ate here - was craving Italian and some comfort food and this hit the spot exactly, so so good. This restaurant is just a few steps down from our hotel, and given the stellar reviews, we stopped by for dinner on a Monday night. We had about a 45 minute wait, which was totally worth it. We started with the charcuterie board for two, and really enjoyed everything on the board from the olives to the tomato tapenade to the variety of cheeses and cured meats. They were able to accommodate my allergy to nuts by leaving out the pistachios and putting the mortadella on the side, which was very appreciated! For dinner, my husband and I shared the baked gnocchi with meat ragu. Another great dish! Everything was freshly prepared, and really reminded us of our trip to Italy. The side salad is a must here - it was really good and perfect accompaniment to the meal. We couldn’t bear to leave the leftovers, so we got portions of the charcuterie board and the gnocchi to go (the first on our trip). Service was really welcoming and had a good pace. We did not feel rushed, although they had patrons waiting. The owner stopped by to engage with us, and the rest of the waitstaff were really attentive and accommodating. If you are in the area and looking for some great Italian food, make reservations asap! You can’t find a better and more welcoming restaurant in Porto! Amazing food, super fantastic and friendly staff. The tiramisu is the best in the world! Came for the Italian food, stayed for the fantastic service and ambience. Our waiters were attentive, charming and managed to squeeze our table of 3 in during a busy Friday Night Shift. The food was delicious and huge portions- I recommend the baked veggie gnocchi and we were treated to a delicious portion of tiramisu with our meal. Thank you! It’s rare that my husband and I will visit a restaurant multiple times in a single trip, but La Salumeria was that place. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, and the staff welcomes you like it’s their home. Save room for dessert because you’ll find happiness with the tiramisu or panna cotta. Absolutely amazing. The food is incredible, tiramisu is to die for, make sure to leave room for dessert. The quality of ingredients makes all the dishes full of colour and flavour.
