Absolutely amazing food! This has been my happiest meal this trip so far. I had the big fish salad & I could barely eat it all as it's A BIG MEAL

Today was my birthday! We walked the trail around Isla Carenero this morning and stopped for lunch at Leaf Eaters Cafe. Everything about this delightful cafe was perfect. Friendly + happy service, fantastic food, beautiful view of the ocean (and clean bathroom, too). I would like to return and try every item on their delicious and nutritious menu!

1 star for attention from staff, in reality it’s a 2.5-3 star operation. It took 52 minutes for my salad to arrive. The big salad with no cooked items, no warm items, simply just chopped veggies. I could have swam to bocas town, bought groceries, swam back and made a salad for half the price and half the time!! It wasn’t slammed busy, normal amount of people mid day. Staff are kind, but customer service is a huge miss and they don’t seem to acknowledge the slowness. The price is way too high for customer service not to be top notch for vegetarian items with 600% mark ups.
Also, The kale in my $12 kale salad was not massaged or dressed in advance, which is what it should be to be digested.
I like the atmosphere and want them to improve so I can come back and not be upset about it.
Such a delicious cool spot! Everything is good here from the smoothies, fish burger, tacos, mushroom panini to the cookies! Can't recommend it enough for a healthy and great tasting

Lunch here was fantastic and the owner is super friendly! Enjoy the beautiful scenery (with starfish lining the sea floor below the dock) while enjoying one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had, sipping smoothies, and finishing it off with a chocolate chip cookie. Highly recommend lunch here if you’re staying in Bocas!

My partner and I waited almost an hour for our entrees: one salad and one order of fish tacos. Service was painfully slow and we arrived 20 minutes after it had opened. Food was ok but this is hands down some of the slowest service in Bocas (and that is saying a lot for a place where everything is on island time). If you want to check this place out, set aside 1.5 hours to be safe.

Delicious!!!!! Amazing vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian food. Hippie bowl with hummus was hearty and fresh. My partner had the big fish sandwich and said the fish was cooked perfectly. The views from the restaurant are great too, right on the water. My only complaint was how slow the food was. There was only one other table there when we arrived and it took almost a half hour. I’ll chalk it up to island time. While waiting we walked on their dock and saw a ton of fish and starfish too.

Gorgeous place to eat and hang out (good Drinks as well). You can literaly jump in the water while waiting for your food (wich ist really yummy and healthy.
Tiny store as well.

This is vegetarian and vegan heaven. This place is amazing. I ate here at least 5 times during my short stay in Bocas. I highly recommend the tacos and the veggie burgers. The vegan zucchini bread was so delicious, it's great with a cup of coffee. Everything is freshly prepared with high quality ingredients.
The vibe is super tranquilo and the restaurant has some of the best views in Bocas, looking out towards the town and Isla Solarte. The water around the restaurant can be very clear and there is a bunch of animal life all around. During my visits I saw starfish, barracuda, needle fish and dolphins just outside. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and help to keep the vibe muy tranquilo. It's a great spot to stop and refuel after surfing on Caranero. They also started doing a cocktail hour right around sunset and it's one of the best spots in Bocas to watch the sunset.
It's a bit hidden so either take a water taxi there from the main island (just tell them "comé ojas" which means "leaf eaters") or access it by foot through their gate. It's located between aqua lounge and the little yellow houses built on the water.
