5s across the board! I had the oysters from each location and they were mouthwatering. Then I had the lobster Mac n cheese which is beyond compare, it's worth every penny and I've marked this place as a must go every time I'm on the east coast! Elizabeth was our server and she did a wonderful job, the whole place has a great vibe to it and the music fits the atmosphere. If you were still up in the air, let this be what convinces you! Legal Sea Foods is, of course, the best in the Boston area; and this particular location was one of our best experiences we've had at any of their restaurants. The service was fantastic; servers were friendly and when out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We visited with our two granddaughters and they were delighted with the attention from the servers. The food was better than we've had in a long time; everything was prepared quickly, served promptly and timely and while still hot enough to enjoy. So much better than 2 stars but! Stephani at the bar was awesome with service. Shrimp tempura and salad were delicious and drinks were as well. But the flies…everywhere and gross… the little black specks were flies right above where we were sitting at the bar. Disappointing and unsanitary. Do better! Went in around 5:00 for a Chowder and beer. Sat at the bar and had a super nice bartender/server named Greg. Got a cup of chowder a Sam Adams and a Shrimp tempura sushi roll. Chowder came out piping hot and was awesome. Shrimp tempura roll was excellent as well. Staff was super friendly. I work close by so I will be back again. I ordered the fried clam dinner , from this upscale restaurant I was very disappointed. The clams had no belly’s and they were so small. My wife told me to tell them but I was trying to avoid any drama . I just wanted a peaceful dinner with my wife. The restaurant should have not had them on the menu at $33.00 a plate I was very disappointed. As knowing the prior owner he would have never sold those. He was very strict with top seafood in his restaurants . I would rather go to the seaport for food than repeat the experience I had. Lost my appetite for legal seafood. My husband and I have been loyal customers since the day this Legal Sea Foods opened. We always loved coming here. The quality of food and atmosphere has changed completely. We remember the days of the 'sushi boat' and were always looking forward to ordering that. When that was no longer offered, we ordered separate sushi. Still good, just not the same quantity/price comparison. We always came for lunch. We had sushi last year and the waiter was obnoxious and telling his life story and how many restaurants he had worked at. We only saw him that time and ruined our lunch. The last time there was hardly any sushi on the menu so we ordered a fish burger. It was greasy, the fries were limp, not enjoyable at all. To give them one last chance for old time's sake, we decided to have dinner a few weeks ago. We both ordered the yellow fin tuna steak and asked for medium rare. What we received was an overcooked piece of tuna that was dry and horrible. The fries once again were limp. Looked like fried just once, not twice to get the crispy texture. Oil could not have been at the right temperature as they were soaked. Disgusting. The waitress was very good and likeable, not her fault that the food was horrible. We won't be back. This is one of the best LSF locations I've been to! Great location with ample parking. Such a wonderful looking venue on both the exterior and interior! The waitstaff kind and accommodating the minute we walked in the door. No wait to be seated and there were plenty of comfortable seating options. The menu(s) had plenty to choose from, including chef specials. Our waiter, Joshua, provided us with pristine service throughout our stay. We were even greeted by the manager, Tom, to ensure our experience was pleasant. Drinks we're prepared with care and the dishes served were very satisfying to the palate! Did was fresh and really good. I got the fried shrimp with the extra spice which was nice; even the cocktail sauce was tasty. Best was our server who was super attentive and nice. Really was a pleasant experience. A bit expensive, but everything is these days; and quality was high. Five of us ate here - wonderful meal, excellently prepared. Attentive wait staff, tasty sides, good drinks menu, and space to relax and talk. Great scallops, salmon, lobster and even surf and turf! The place was busy but didn't seem crowded. I've experienced a number of their outlets and they are consistently high quality. Will definitely return!
