Check this cool little place out today for the first time. Food was really good. Home cooking, fish chicken beef you name it on their Sunday buffet. Was really good and fairly reasonable. I went in for lunch, the food and service was amazing. The chicken was fresh, hot and full of flavor. I do not know what they call the bread served along side the meal but they were crispy on the outside and slightly sweet. The vegetables were seasoned and served hot. My experience was great and I would recommend everyone to try them out. They even have outdoor seating with umbrella coverage if you do not want to eat indoors. Have lived here since 2020 and always said we would stop in and finally did yesterday! We cannot wait to come back. Local food, fantastic burgers and enjoyed the hot yaki wing sauce. I have passed the Lil D's Dugout a million times. My wife and I finally stopped and checked out the restaurant. I was really impressed with its baseball themed decor. The dining area was very clean. The server was very polite. My wife and I ordered the Hotdog Special with a huge order of tater tots. The food was very delicious. The menu specials are very cheap. Went for the burger special. Asked for it with mayo instead of ketchup and mustard. Was told that was fine. Burger was delivered with ketchup and mustard and no mayo. The burger itself was fine but it would have been so much better if it had been made to order. Service was fairly slow, (It was lunch time after all) so to save time, I just ate the burger. This was my first time here. I had heard about it and wanted to see for myself. It was AWESOME!!!!! The fried chicken was great. Perfectly fried and seasoned right. The fish was the same way. Cabbage, rice & gravy and sausage rounded out my meal. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience. Thanks Lil D.

Updated 10/8/2022 We decided to come back here again after they moved into a new building. Food is still good. Husband got the wing special and fries. The flavor was nice. The hot isn't super spicy and it is kind of vinegary. I got the homerun burger the sauce they put on it is tasty, I wanted more of it on there. I wish the burger would have been pattied better to fill up the bun. But it wasn't dry and it had a nice taste. They weren't shy on the Jalapeño for the burger which some places are. All in all this is a good place. Good food for a good price and good friendly service. A little underrated gem in florence in my personal opinion.
