Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines provide flavorsome dishes at this restaurant. The recipe for success of Long Hai is its nicely cooked egg rolls, Bbq pork and shrimp spring rolls. You will hardly forget delicious thai tea, iced coffee or vietnamese coffee that you can try. At this place, you can order food as a takeaway. The success of this spot wouldn't be possible without the professional staff. Enjoyable service is something that visitors note in their comments. You are to be pleasantly impressed with good prices at this restaurant. Google users granted the score of 4.2 to Long Hai.

The portion is big which I like. Haven't tried a lot of Vietnamese food around here but I think it's pretty close to authentic food I've had in Vietnam. The fish sauce is a good indicator of authenticity. - very close but still lacks a little. Overall, for the price paid, it's worth it and not as pricey as compared to anything within Irvine. We love this restaurant. Where been coming here for years and their pho is always delicious. The owners are super friendly and always happy to see us. I get the pho Bo, and the portions are perfect with a generous amount of toppings provided. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I am giving a GENEROUS rating of three stars, but I will drop it down to one star if the owner does not respond satisfactorily… I would be happy to have another chance to get a a chance to give a second opinion, and possibly give five stars instead! First, I should say the food is good. The sauce was a little weird on the fish, but it was OK. The basil was fresh, the fish tasted right also and the vegetables were crisp. Unfortunately, it was a very small portion of rice, especially considering the $14 price tag at 3 o’clock in the afternoon (to-go). I politely asked for a little bit more not even half as much as what they gave, and the worker wanted to charge me two dollars!! I declined and asked why they would charge $2 for such a SMALL portion of rice, especially since I already purchased such an expensive entrée?! (A similar dish, with fried rice and larger portions is going for only 7 dollars nearby at another restaurant— to which she replied “go there next time instead“ I said “I most definitely will!“ is this standard practice for your business?!? If so, I don’t understand how you can survive, especially in this economy… Attached is the photo of the piece of Styrofoam that fell into my food which I almost swallowed, because they weren’t careful!!!

Best vietnamese restaurant. Family owned. The owner is nice and the food is very good. All of the food is good especially Mongolian beef, beef and potatoes, whole sole fish, grilled pork and chicken, egg rolls, egg rolls, and pho. They also have very inexpensive fresh crab/lobster and do catering. They have a good selection of vegetarian options especially the Braised 'Beef' Hue noodle soup. On weeks that are too hectic for me, I order a few of their noodle soups and freeze it. My niece will only eat the soups there because many places have the msg aftertaste. They have some really good items on their special menu such as honey garlic chicken, chicken curry (I order the party tray, portion it at home, and freeze it for the kids). For mothers day we ordered their fish sauce wings, papaya salad, honey garlic chicken, egg rolls, and chowfun. I was disappointed because there was no leftover for work next day. The plaza has plenty of parking. They are open during covid for take out and have delivery. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food is great. I'm a regular. Sometimes I pay with EBT, and since I started doing that, the owner always has an excuse for why I can't dine in.. "we're about to close." ..."there's a big party coming in, no room." ..."I'm about to clean tables." And I'm pretty sure it's all just bs because I've seen other parties of two sitting down, eating while she tells me that. I ordered Canh Chua Ca, aka Tamarind Fish Soup. It was my first visit and my last. This is my favorite Vietnamese dish. I also ordered an ice water. They tried to give me a bottled water claiming that with COVID, they weren't allowed to serve water in a glass. The fish soup while edible was awful. The fish was certainly not catfish and most likely frozen. I didn't even get a proper rice bowl. When I asked for a bowl, the dragon lady seemed bothered and gave me a tiny bowl that the soup spoon wouldn't even fit in. To top it off, the tomatoes were old and disgusting. When I asked for fish sauce and chili pepper to dip the fish and okra in, the dragon lady was once again bothered and tossed me a tiny dipping dish with jalapeno slices. Finally, the dragon lady tried to make nice and asked me if this was first time here? I said yes and that it would be my last time. How dare you treat and serve a Vietnamese patron less than you would serve yourself. I should've gotten the fried rice because you can't really mess that up. If you want authentic Vietnamese food seriously avoid this place. For the dragon lady, I may speak perfect English but I also speak Vietnamese and can also read it. Simply terrible experience!
