My experience was very enjoyable at the DuBois Long John Silver's.
I had two visits, dine in, and the other was takeout. The staff at the register was the same both times. Both visits she was extremely nice and helpful. She explained the options and answered questions I had. I dont want to give her name in the review, but I can provide if LJS would like it. She should get a bonus or raise. Finding workers who have a positive attitude is hard to find
The food was warm, and there was lots of flavor. Fish, chicken, and hush puppies were all good. The Resteraunt was clean inside.
The two issues that held back the 5 star 1. Fries were cold, spending 5 dollars on 2 chili cheese fries, and they were cold and soggie. The other was the door for the entrance needs to be clean. I almost didn't go in.
2nd visit the door was clean but the fries were soggie. The fries were warm, but the container was different and not paper. I switched my 4 stars to five, due to if I dined in it, wouldn't have been a problem. I'm guessing there are supply issues, which is not the fault of the store. Consistency with the fish, chicken, and huspuppies both times.
Other than those two issues, the food and experience were great and will be back.

LJS in Dubois.... I have to get my fish when in Dubois...A young lady named Victoria took my order today....what a pleasant, cheerful girl she is! She brought a smile to my face...oh....and as always I love the fish!

They were supposed to be open until 9. Shut the soda machine down by 730. Fish was so greasy I needed more drink to wash it down. Tried calling for someone but nobody came out. As we were leaving, all 3 employees were out back smoking and/or on their phones. CLEARFIELD LJS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!

We stopped for a to go lunch. I have not been to a Long John Silvers in at least 10 years. I had chicken, fries and hush puppies. The fries were ok. The chicken was moist and tender, but there's a flavor either in the breading, or the oil that detracts from the chicken for me. It's a slightly bitter aftertaste that I Dont care for. The hush puppies were good. A bit oily. But ok. The fries were pretty good. My wife had the fish and shrimp. She said it was good, but the portion was to much.

The rice bowl is quite deceiving from the picture. Only bottom had one layer rice with picture showing heaping bowl for 10.00. Whatever happened to the styrofoam takeout containers? Given paper A&W box which was unable to hold our food. Had to put napkin down on bottom !!!

Went to the drive thru, at the Dubois Long Johns , and was asked to pull ahead which I don't mind because I feel that you will get fresher food. Waited at least 15-20 minutes. My bill was 32$ and we didn't even get what we paid for. I had to go in and tell them they shorted us a whole dinner and all the sides! They gave us every sauce but tarter sauce and we ordered fish! Paid for slaw... Got the fork but no slaw . These places don't need a raise in pay... They need to learn how to take an order and fill it. My first job was fast food and you learn to read the slip and fill the order. The food that we did get was grease soaked and the hush puppies were over cooked or double dipped in the grease. The employees at the counter are covered in tatoos,facial rings and goofy colored hair. There was a time that you had to look respectable to work in the public eye. What a shame

It was a pleasure to sit in a LJS and enjoy golden planks, hush puppies and root beer with my son. I used to do this with my grandfather when I was a kid and we had a local LJS but it’s closed now and this one is hours from home. Save LJS! Stop by this one if you’re in the area!

The cashier went out of her way to help us get in our car to our dog. We accidentally locked the keys in. She should get a raise. She called a friend that came and helped. The police in Dubious wouldn't help at all. They said call a tow company.
