We enjoyed a delicious bowl of polenta on a cold rainy day. For appetizers I had one of their selection of Fancy Toasts. It was the best appetizer I've tasted this year and possibly in the entire last year. The staff were impressive and four of them, at different times, checked in with us to see how we were enjoying our lunch. The hostess actually checked in twice. Highly recommended. The menu is simple and small. But it has delicious complexities and enough variety to allow all foodies to enjoy. The location on one side is facing the Petaluma River and is gorgeous. The other side is a shopping center. The former should remain in the visitors mind. However, when leaving you are reminded of the strip mall it shares a parking lot with. But I digress, drinks were great although they didn't have egg whites for a whisky sour. Which is a MUST for me. The food was amazing. Again, simple but not lacking in depth. The wait staff are wonderful and very attentive and friendly. We shared many plates and look forward to many more visits to try other plates! Came for lunch on a wednesday. Greeted by amicable staff, very spacious and great ambiance. Outdoor seating near the creek. There was no wait time and the selection on the menu has a good variation. The flatbread with sausage fantastic. The salad was a little salty. The shishito peppers were also good - not spicy. Free parking in the plaza and easy to find. Food was great, full of unique flavor well portioned. Menu was short but had interesting options for everyone. Service was friendly and helpful. Could be a bit more polished /trained to really shine. Atmosphere was lovely. Welcoming and hip decor. The bar is modern and chic. Could be another Crossroads kitchen (Beverly Hills, CA) in the making... Really one of the best places to eat in Petaluma. Fantastic quality, great digs, and really pleasant service. The menu has evolved a lot since it first opened and I’m so happy it’s here! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Five stars all the way! Yummy brisket sandwich, burger, humongous steak fries. Professional and friendly service. Great atmosphere and free parking. Oh, and it's adjacent to a scenic footbridge over the Petaluma, allowing easy access to central Petaluma. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This gem of a spot is easy to miss in that it’s nestled within a shopping center. But it’s also at the back edge where the Petaluma River meanders. Very unexpected in more ways than one. Service at Luma is outstanding, first class! The ambiance is contemporary and low-key but classy. Presentation is clean with an understated elegance. I had the burger with salad. And my dining guest had the fresh made hummus, all delicious! But our favorite was the dessert, the fresh- made brownie was a treat. I enjoyed the rose apple cider. But I want to go back for happy hour and have one of Luma’s unique original cocktails. I recommend sitting out on the patio, overlooking the River-walk. On a sunny warm evening it is ideal. We went here for a date night. Not a huge menu, but delicious and thoughtful fusions!! Very kind, helpful and attentive staff. Good suggestions given for our meal and drink options. I ordered Hen of the Woods, and asked for bacon to be added since I'm not vegan/VG and it was a nice addition for someone like me. We REALLY loved the Ricotta, Fig, bacon flat bread and the drinks. I loved how amazing their hospitality was. The hostess even saw that I was getting chilled being near the door and offered to shut it. We were asked if we needed anything frequently and if we enjoyed our meal by more than just the waiter, who as well was kind and eager to help. Being from hospitality background as well, I was thoroughly impressed on all counts: food, atmosphere and highly trained staff. It's nice that they have happy hour 3-5pm too. We will be back! I was hopeful and really wanting to like Luma, having enjoyed their other restaurant in town and the menu SOUNDS so good, being "veggie forward". I don't eat out often but do not mind spending money on good food. This fell way short, unfortunately, and was a disappointment in both the food and service. FOOD: The apps were tasty -olives, focaccia, leek fritters (except for the "fries" which are just too thick and more like eating a baked potato) - but way overpriced for the portion size. 3 golf-ball-sized fritter balls for $12? Same with some of the mains. A small portion of duck leg for $38? Some items were tasty, others were terribly bland (Hen of the Woods dish). The soup was apparently good. SERVICE: The ambiance, bar and dining room are very nice. The waiter was quite odd. At first just seemed "exuberant" but then seemed confused/rushed... who ordered what, didn't take drink orders, came by and was very loud, kind of intrusive and ...it's just hard to describe other than very strange and uncomfortable behavior. From reading other reviews, it sounds like people have had positive experiences - I am sad to say I will not be going back to Luma. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
Best mescale margarita ever! I've only been a few times, but the lamb meatballs were yummy, salads decent, and the pizza like dishes are ok. Focaccia was way too springy....But sauce was yummy. I love the people. So warm and inviting. Decent amount of space betw tables so you don't feel on top of each other. Outdoor is great too. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
