This is a solid restaurant. The food isn't fancy but very delicious and well prepared. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I went there with my girlfriend and our stomachs were happy after the lunch 😊

We were there in February 2024 and really enjoyed it. It was the best restaurant on our Portugal tour. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and of course very good food...

Great find best quality/price we have found for a long time and impeccable service. The steak was melt in your mouth and the bachalau white and juicy. Desert was ‘fair maison’ and very flavoursome. Wine very reasonably priced.
Excellent. We ordered grilled seabass good for 3 people. The fish was fresh, cooked perfectly, and was very tasty. The staff were very knowledgable, spoke good english, and jolly. Our dinner for 3 cost EUR 44. Amazing value.
Found this place while looking for a lunch. Sat outside and tried the menu of the day. Really tasty food, professional staff and level of service. Price was more than reasonable.

We had bacalhau for diner. The food was good and the meal size was large. This is a nice place for discovering Portuguese bacalhau. The price is OK but a bit higher than traditional portuguese restaurant. The place is a little bit fancy and the waiters are very nice.

Stopped by for lunch! Amazing service (really! the waiters did a great job while having a lot of people to serve), delicious food and good prices (especially if you get their daily lunch menu). I recommend checking it out!
Excellent food, wine & staff.
we visited Saturday evening after a walking part of the Camino. Manuel & staff where very helpful welcoming and cheery.
The food was one of the tastiest meals of our trip.
We would highly recommend M&F 21

The food was alright, but towards the heavy side. Plus, the cod gratin had fish bones in it which seems odd for at combined dish. The dishes were not seasoned sufficiently (e.g., the grilled shrimps were only very spicy without other flavors and the cod dishes lacked salt and pepper).
But, the biggest caveat was the big flat screen television which was kept on at all times. The only people who used this screen was the head waiter who wanted to watch the news. This tv destroys the atmosphere.
All in all the food wasn't terrible and there was plenty of it. The wine was very good. The restaurant just struggles with a couple of details considering that it looks like it wants to be a fancy restaurant.

We came in late night after a bad experience at Viviana Aromáticas, and even though M&F was closing, they took us in and offered to cook for us what they had available (steak frites with salad) and it was delicious and well priced. Wine was also good.
Minor cons: had a TV with sports in the dining room... kind of diminished the atmosphere (if you must have it... just play some local scenery video at the very least). Also, a small piece of (not raw) egg shell had fallen into our (delicious and fresh cut) fries. The presunto (ham) was average, but was 5 euro and cut right there, so no complaints. Again, none are a big deal, but details to improve on.
Our 15 euro beef steak was better than many I have had in New York, at a fourth of the price.
Give them a chance! :)
