My recent visit to Malabar Makani was a delightful culinary adventure, although it began with a slight hiccup due to the weekend rush. We had to wait for approximately 20 minutes before being seated, but given the bustling atmosphere, it was understandable and ultimately worth the wait.
For our meal, we decided to explore a variety of dishes. We started with the beef ribs, which left a lasting impression. The flavor was exquisite, and the meat was cooked to perfection, melting in our mouths. However, it must be noted that the dish was very oily, which may not be to everyone's liking.
Another standout dish was the Paalu Kappa. It was, without a doubt, one of the best renditions of this dish I've had in Doha. Creamy and boasting the ideal texture, it was a true testament to the culinary prowess of Malabar Makani's kitchen.
The Pothu Kaal was the best highlight of our meal and stole the show. The meat quality was exceptional, delivering a burst of flavors with each bite. The spices and seasonings were just right, making this dish a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. The Ney Pathiri, served alongside, was crispy and fresh, providing a wonderful complement to the flavorful meat.

While the food quality at Malabar Makani is undoubtedly outstanding, I must mention that the service left room for improvement. It took quite a bit of time for our orders to be taken, and it was apparent that the restaurant was often packed, leading to some delays.

The delicious flavors and remarkable dishes, such as the Paalu Kappa and Pothu Kaal, make it a worthwhile dining experience. Need to improve a little more because it's not that much spicy and need to add a little more salt

It is a South Indian Kerala cuisine restaurant. It seems it is one of the decent restaurants.
Apart from the daily food menu,they have good bbq dishes as well.
We even have snacks with fresh milk tea / Samovar. The taste was great.

Very bad service and behaviour,went to scope the place so me and my friends can have a gathering here and try the place,my friend went in along with me and asked for tea and they said karak 1qr fresh milk tea 2qr, my friend didn't understand and asked again and the guy in cash started yelling at us rudely saying "how many times you need to ask?! 1qr 2qr how many times I need to explain?!" That was his exact line but much ruder. We left immediately and would recommend people to avoid this dump.I'm just going to point the time Wednesday 13th dec 2023 11.40 pm.so if for whatever reason anyone goes there they can avoid encountering this person.
