I did some research on Tartus and I got recommendation on this restaurant and I asked my tour guide and he said the food is not bad so we decided to head there for lunch. Arrived and it wasn't very crowded, there were many seats. The window seats all had pretty good views of the sea, but the people who were smoking shishas were all sitting by the window so it wasn't a choice to sit near them. The restaurant was a liitle hot, they didn't switch on the air conditioning and left the windows open and I couldn't sit near the windows because of the smokers, so we actually shifted our tables a couple of times to get a less suffocating table, despite wherever you sit you will be able to take in the second hand smoke. Finally settled down and decided to order a drink first. Ordered the banana milk and was already started to sweat. When the drink arrived I was overjoyed thinking I would be able to cool down with the drink but I was so wrong because the drink was warm. I was quite shocked as usually milkshakes like these were meant to be cold? I asked the staff to bring me a glass of ice which he did and I added them bit by bit into the milkshake. Ordered the tomato stew meat in a hot stone. Presentation wise looked good and I was also impressed by the yellow rice but turned out the rice wasn't to my liking because it was hard and dry. I only managed to eat the stew. I also ordered a mushroom mofarakeh which was a hot appetizer so I was expecting it to be like a small dish and it turned out to be mushroom and beef stir fry! It tasted okay but it wasn't flavourful enough so I didn't finish the entire dish. I thought I set some expectations to this restaurant but the food wasn't really up to standards. The saving grace was the dessert which was like a chocolate waffle it really was the best dish of the entire meal and it was complimentary. To be honest quite disappointed with the food, probably only come here for the desserts. And also the menu doesn't have a price on the items so I'm not sure whether I be overcharged for the meal or not. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
