It's worth coming to this fast food because of good hamburgers, sandwiches and cheeseburgers. You will like its food, especially nicely cooked muffins. According to the guests' opinions, waiters serve good coffee. McDonald's is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices are found adequate here. If you've never tried to eat and feel the sense of beauty at the same time, visit this place to find the pleasant atmosphere. But this spot has been rated below average by Google.
Upon entering at 2:30pm, there was only another mom with her 2 small children seated and eating. I stood at the counter for maybe 5 minutes while gathering my children’s choices. I could see several employees (maybe 5) standing way off to the side near the drive thru window, but they could clearly see me. Maybe they thought I couldn’t see them? They were socializing amongst themselves, trying to ignore me. I very clearly made eye contact with at least one of them, but I must have been invisible because not one of them came to the counter to take my order or even ask how they could help me. So my niece told me I need to place my order thru the kiosk. An 11 year old is evidently smarter than me as she walked me how to order on the stupid thing. (Why bother having warm bodies behind the counter, because clearly there was NO CUSTOMER SERVICE anywhere I could see). The trash cans were overflowing and about to fall on the floor. The tables were dirty…all of them. I did find 1 that wasn’t, so we sat there. When they called my number, I went up to get my food and took they opportunity to speak to a live person, and told them that “since their lobby isn’t full of customers and they clearly aren’t busy behind the counter, it appears they have plenty of staff to spare 1 or 2 to come out and empty the trash that’s spilling out, and wipe down the filthy tables”! The girl just looked at me kinda shocked that I called her out on their piss poor behavior and service, and then said in the sweetest voice, “oh definitely, I will send someone out right away.” You know, we were in there for about 30 mins, and by the time we left, not 1 staff member came out and did a damn thing! I watched them the whole time…never took a customer’s order, never greeted anyone. Just stood around socializing with each other or on their phones. My job is “customer service” oriented, and I would have been FIRED for this behavior!! I realize this is the 1st job ever for many of these kids, but this is EXACTLY why this is unacceptable! How do we expect our kids to learn good work ethics if we don’t teach them, expect it from them AND hold them accountable when they are lacking it? We can teach them as parents, but it has to be reinforced at work! Obviously the owner isn’t present in the operation of his business…physical or otherwise, observant, let alone reading any of these sad disgraceful reviews. I suspect if he/she/they were, these reviews might look a lot different. I would expect this from a Westside McDonald’s, a few in Seattle or Auburn come to mind, but Cle Elum??? (Maybe owner IS from Westside, so this is the best we can expect, who knows?) Oh, and the ketchup did kind of taste a little “off”….from the dispenser, not packets. To the owner of Cle Elum McDonald’s: your employees need an overhaul. They need to go to a McDonald’s corporate training camp….as do you! You and your employees need to have some better standards because the current ones leave something to be desired. With all the negative reviews about your staff, I HATE to think what the conditions of the kitchen are in, especially the walk ins, deep fryers, ice cream and ice machines, microwaves, and everything else! I can only imagine, I mean if staff is willing to let trash pile up and spill out onto floor and tables are filthy when dining room is empty…..you’ve really set the standards haven’t you?

It was pretty late. The fries were very hot and the chicken nuggets actually fried perfectly and served very hot and crispy.
Best McDonald's I've had in a very long time.

Worst burger I’ve tried. The saltiest burger with one pickle and a tiny onion. What is this?! Put more veggies not salt please. I love salt more than most people but this was overkill! Has McDonald’s gone downhill everywhere or just this one?

Worst experience ever chick in drive through has horrible customer service skills. Had to pull forward bc the orange juice machine was out. Waited over 10 min for our order until we finally went in to retrieve it! While inside they didn't have our order even ready . She basically shoved the food at me not saying a word. Didn't give us straws and the orange juice taste like water 🤮 DO BETTER!!!

Employees complaining about their schedules & new hires. On their personal phones behind the counter. The lobby was unkept & we had crumbs on our table from a previous guest. Weirdly the food was exceptionally fresh tasting & saved the overall experience.

Cold food and terrible customer service. A few quick highlights: Front counter staff inattentive and mostly absent (staring at random machines to appear busy) to the point where everyone coming in had to use the self order kiosk (the one that was working at least), causing a backup. After finally flagging someone down to check on the food and overall delay, it ended up being a young man with long hair intentionally positioned up into his cap and straight back down in a way that you literally couldn't even see the top half of his face/eyes - he then informed me that he "wasn't on the clock" and mumbled something after I raised my eyebrows to his response and shuffled off into the chaos. Lastly, the "runner" coordinating getting orders to the counter was all over the place, grabbing things at random and letting food sit for long periods of time before finally bringing it over to the counter and spinning back around as he quietly said the order number. Won't be back and definitely recommend anyone else local or just passing through not to waste your time here. Edit: After mentioning it to others, they've had similar experiences spanning the last few months as well.

One of the worst McDonalds experiences ever. Waited in the drive thru for over 30 minutes and eventually left without our food. We came back in store and waited another 30 minutes just to receive the order. They charged extra for add ons and didn’t even included them into the order. Completely botched up one of the burgers and gave a different sandwich instead. The restaurant itself was extremely dirty and service was very slow. Whatever you do, don’t come here.

"Fast food" never fast. I order 3 things off the menu and they always send us to sit and wait. Last 3 times I've gone they can't complete a whole order. Glad we Wendy's came to town because they're actually fast. With kids you want fast. Not slow and incompetent

Worst experience in any McDonald’s I have ever had. Walked in at 8:18 am lobby was being moped floor signs were out so there was no safety hazard, bathrooms were dirty toilet paper all over the stalls, mirrors not clean. Walked up to the front counter was not recognized whatsoever, waited 10 minutes for someone to come over and nothing. A different customer pointed me towards the screen to take my own order. Placed my order no receipt came out then I went to the front counter again and was not acknowledged until I said something to someone cleaning the restrooms. I explained to him my situation and he said the screen froze that they would take my order up front. When a lady came up with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She made no eye contact, short ended answers and bluntly rude. In general someone you wouldn’t want to put in front of a ANY customers ever. After placing my order sat down with a table number but my order was called out?? So not making it a big deal I walked up to get it. Also one thing forgot to mention the bagels I ordered were not being displayed on the screen, I stumbled on it on the kiosk. My steak egg and cheese begals came out as a sausage egg and cheese, ordered an iced coffee received a regular hot coffee. So I got up and took it up front they asked me if I was sure I ordered it ICED 🤦♂️. By this time I was extremely annoyed but kept my cool not raising my voice at anyone, it took everything for me not to turn into a Karen. When I finally received my iced coffee it was made plain no sugar light cream……I ordered it regular so I politely grabbed all my incorrect items and walked out. Not to mention the entire transaction was about $35 and took about 45 minutes I had no time to waste as I am filming this morning and this experience cost me more money then what it was worth. I hate leaving negative experiences but the only good thing from my visit was the older gentleman group who were out golfing cracking jokes. Besides that the golden arches let me down today.

We pulled up just about lunchtime. We ordered at the kiosk, and then our order appeared on the front screen, so we knew it was in progress. The ice cream cone came first; it was a tad lop-sided, but nothing to complain about. Shortly after, the burgers came. The restaurant was clean and very convenient to get off and back on the freeway. The ease of freeway access is why I prefer this location over Ellensburg.
